Travis' POV

I had been stuck in detention because some guy called Clara hot. I spared him, proud?When I took the job of being a brother to a girl, I didn't expect THIS! It's sooo hard and difficult. I know I'm bitching but I have a great reason. Because of what Sean did to my family, I just want to rip his head off.

We still need to figure out why he went after her. I mean another new girl that came is said to be really easy. Why Clara?

oh! That reminds me, our birthday is in a week! Boys find out they're are werewolfs at 12 and girls find out at 14. If she is a werewolf, then I have to keep her mate away too! That's hard because the male wolf fights for his mate. When the GIRL changes for the first time, the male will come find the female. I think Clara's mate is Jamie Davis. A.... Nice kid, football player but I still don't approve.

Huh, nobody said brothering is easy.

Clara's POV

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TODAY! I was born a 3:00 am and Travis was 2:45. Right now it's 2:13 and the boys and dad are dragging me into the woods for some reason.

We got to a clearing and there was a cake with my name on it. And.... Ya know.... Travis' too but mostly it's my cake!

It's now 2:45 and Travis gets his cake. For some reason, I have knots in my stomach and my bones hurt. Ray and Jay were bouncing up an down staring hungrily at the cake.

Finally it came to 3:00 and my bones were killing.

"Clara, do your bones feel sore?" Todd asked, I nodded feeling the cake come back to me.

"Clara, we wanted to tell you, your a werewolf. And your about to change for your first time. Just let it happen" Travis explained. I nodded again but my head was spinning. Werewolf? Wow! This must be a dream.

My bones started to shift with severe pain. I started sprouting hair. My teeth became sharper.

After 2 full minutes of pain, I was on all fours. Yep, not a dream.

The. Boys turned to wolfs to and I saw my color. I was a white wolf with little bits o light brown on my ears and tail. Awe! I just wanted to pet myself!

There was a howl in the distance that had my spine tingling with delight. The boys exchanged looks and made a wall around me.

Todd's POV

We heard a howl and knew it was her mate.

'Ok let's make a circle around her' drake said through mind link. We got in a circle around her while she wore a confused look. Another howl sprouted but closer. Then some rustling in the bushes came.

A big black wolf came into view with green eyes. He growled at us for being close to his mate and pounced for her. Travis tried to get in his way but he sadly failed and the mysterious wolf bit gently on the back of the neck and carried away Clara as she stood dumbfounded. We shifted back to discuss this. I mean, it's not bad, a mate would never hurt their sole mates.

Drake looks angry as hell.

"Did you guys recognize that smell?" He asked as cold a stone.

I shook my head and so did the others.

"It was" he said and gulped.

"Sean."
