I turned around slowly without a noise and looked at Eric. I stared as I thought a long time. He eventually turned his head to look at me and he looked surprised. I froze inside.
Eric slowly turned his whole body to face me. He stared at me. I stared back terrified, but something was pulling on me, tell me to stand up, go by him, talk to him...
No! Why should I? He needs to apologize.....then again........oh.......
Eric didn't do anything wrong...within the last 20 minutes anyway.
"Hey Eric..." I said awkwardly.
"Yes..." he said casually with his stupid, goofy smile.
"...Um... I just...um... I'm sorry I yelled at you... I guess you were...you were being nice..." I suddenly gave an off look. Eric was being nice. He killed a bee so that I wouldn't have a chance of being stung and having an allergic reaction.
"Why the face?"
"I...You were nice to me... I just don't get it..."
"Well, I can be nice. If you'd notice I'm not always mean."
I smiled slyly. "Well, at least you admit you're a jerk. Maybe you just pretend to hate me."
"Nope, I hate you alright. I hate your guts."
"No you don't. You'd let me get stung if that were true."
"Like I said, I'm not that mean to anyone."
"Are we friends?" I asked a little awkwardly. Now Eric gave me the look.
"You're asking me??"
"Uh...yeah. I want to know what you think..."
Eric just stared at me for a long time. "Well...I always wanted to be your friend...... It's true, I don't hate you, I've always liked you...and I mean like, like you..."
