Chapter 3

Unlike Jake and the red head who disappeared to god-knows-where to do god-knows-what, Jayden and I went and stood by the king's side of the throne respectfully until the entire thing was over.

After Jayden chose me, the King got up from his throne and walked down to the remaining 5 girls.

He chose 3 of them as the 'common palace slaves', Ashlyn being one of them.

All throughout, Ashlyn avoided any eye contact with me. I wonder why.

Once the girls were chosen, the remaining two were sent back with Rupert. I feel bad for them. They may have to spend a lot more time in those filthy dungeons until their so called auction comes up... while I'll be planning an escape from here with Ash.

Once the extra girls, Rupert and his men left... the queen stood up and said "Alright you girls. Lethargic behavior will not be spared. The rest of the rules will be explained to you by another slave, evelyn. You will also be given your chores."

At this Evelyn entered the room and stood a couple steps behind the queen. The queen ordered her to show the girls around and explain to them the basic rules and then dismissed them.

Jayden turned towards me and once again, the moment our eyes made contact, my heart rate shot up.

"Follow me" was all he said before he started walking in front of me with me, following close behind.

I followed him through innumerous halls and stairs until we finally reached the top floor. It was wierd that the top floor of this huge palace was consisting of only three rooms unlike the others that were loaded with rooms and common areas. This one was also restricted.

We walked towards a set of huge doors at the end of the room. Sheesh! Its huge enough to have a giant access it with ease.

"You must be wondering why this room is located at such an isolated corner of the floor. Well thats just 'cause the future king needs his privacy." Jayden said cooly without turning towards me.

I stayed silent.

You guys must be wondering why Im being so submissive and cooperative. Well thats all just a plan. Onve I get these vampires to believe that Im a chicken, it would be easy for me to escape while they're offguard. Oh well... iys a childhood talent I should say. I can even stay calm in the worst of situation and plan things out.

He opened the huge doors and I followed him inside the room. The moment I entered the magnificient room, the size of a huge auditorium... my jaw dropped.

It was enormous with blood red walls with a swirl of black. It had french windows which consumed one side of the wall which i guess leady to a balcony and a door on the opposite side which i suppose lead to the bath. Beside the door were a set of huge sliding doors that Im guessing to be the walk in closet.

There was an enormous king sized bed on another side of the wall. It had blood red matresses and tge same colour blanket with black comforters. The wall opposite to the bed which faced it was housing a huge home theater system. There were many other furnitures in the room.. most of them made with oakwood, even the bathroom doors and the sliding ones.

"Close your mouth. Unless your offering something." Jayden's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

He was standing in front of me with a cocky smirk plastered on his face while I stood bedore him with a stupid expression.

He pulled out an elegant looking chair from a table next to the wall.

"Sit." He ordered.

Wait! No one goes around ordering me! Especially not him! And what the hell does he think of me? A pet dog of his!

"Snap out of your thoughts and sit." He ordered now with an irritated tone.

Well... I guess if I have to play the whole 'submissive' act then I have to abide by what he says. No choice.

I walked towards the chair and silently sat down while he began.. "now... I shall let you know about the rules that apply to you. Failure to follow any of them will lead to the most mostrous punishments.."

I nodded. I dont think I'll be here for long to follow a.couple of silly rules.

Ashlyn's POV

The queen ordered us all to leave. Before following Evelyn I saw Skylar walking like an obediant puppy behind the sexy prince Jayden from the corner of my eye.

I could'nt help the growl that escaped my lips of fury. Thankfully it wasnt loud enough for any of the girls to hear.

It is just not fair! I am much much prettier than Skylar! But she is the one who gets away with the hottest boy alive! I have beautiful blonde hair compared to her dull black one. I have fair skin compared to her dark one.. but overall.. I feel Im really very beautiful! Then why is it that she gets to keep the hot guys!!??

I was snapped out of my thoughts when evelyn brought us to a spare room. It just looked like a bigger version of our school's Janitor closet.

"Alright everyone. These are the uniforms you'll all be wearing regularly." Evelyn handed us a pair of clothes much similar to what she was wearing.

"But they barely cover our skin." A petite brunnette spoke. "I know. But Im sorry. That's how its supposed to be." Evelyn sighed. Sadness lacing her voice.

In no time we were all dressed in what looked like the ones pole dancers wear for seduction.

I was dressed in a strapless black top that was kindda short and exposed my belly. Next I was dressed in an extremely short, tight skirt that hung dangerously low exposing my 'v'. It stopped just an inch above my ass slightly exposing my deep red thongs. I wore black netted stockings that really made my legs look pretty and high heels that made a clicking sound.

Over all, I looked like a damsel. I smirked evilly. I think its not too late to get my sexy guy back from Skylar.
