Lilly opens her eyes, her head is pounding and she feels dizzy. "Concussion" she thinks to herself. She looks up into the front seat and immediately a sob escapes her. She can't get the seat belt undone, it's broken so she gets her pocket knife out and cuts through it then scrambles into the front and starts shaking Joe and Hannah. She's screaming for them to wake up. They'd always kept their expiration dates hidden, they'd said if people were smart then everyone would do the same. She pushes Joes sleeve up and then Hannah's, and she rips off the Bandaids covering their Marks. She cries harder when she sees it. "10-19-2035" is on both their arms. She curls up into a ball on the ground and sobs.

After what seems like hours she picks herself back up and starts looking through the wreckage. She finds that most of the poison was destroyed, but the instructions on how to make it are still there. Her phone is broken but she remembers that Hannah always keeps hers in the glove box, she looks and find that its intact. She looks at the time and the time on the plane ticket. "It's too late, dang it!" She thinks. She decides to go to the airport and try to figure something out from there. She calls a friend to come get her.

Her friend drops her off at the airport and she goes to the front desk, she starts to cry as she approaches the woman. "Please, my parents, they expired, a-and I n-need to get on this flight to g-go to my uncles house!" She sobs out. "Please, I know I missed it, w-we crashed. Is there anything y-you could do?" The woman looks shocked "Oh honey, I'm sorry to hear that! I'll see what I can do!" She replies in a soothing voice. Before long she looks back up and says "You've got a new flight that'll leave tomorrow, here is the ticket, but you can't miss this one, alright?" Mira nods and walks out to find a cheap place to stay the night.

The next morning she gets up and gets on the plane in time.
