Waterblack - Tasima's home. The large city port sits on the Southern tip of the Sun Quarter. Divided into two sections one trades heavily in fish, slaves and cloth. The other half depends on trade in silk, jewels and exotic fruits and vegetables. Other means of trade shared by both districts are opiates, foreign goods, vegetables, fruit, meats, cattle and other livestock. Waterblack is also very well known for her whorehouses and inns and taverns where it is reported the ale is good no matter where a traveller stops.
Majaca - The busiest trading port in all of Baravuth. Majaca is the brain for the central nervous system of trade. Located to the south of the Air Quarter, Majaca is situated near the mouth of the Yejgn river and is sheltered well from storms and wind. Her high towers funnel the wind through the centre of the city, making is easier for ships to dock. Majaca's trade is constant and changing. From bolts of silk and gold from the Gold Mountains. To livestock, thoroughbred horses, and silverware. It is said that no two ships will ever bring in the same shipment.
Dorinport - Most famous for housing more thieves, robbers, burglars and murderers than any other port. Dorinport is most famous for its cheap alcohol, cheap drugs and even cheaper weapons. Before king Canaan regulated strict border security. Known murderers were hanged and left as a warning at the gates of the city. Now Dorinport has flourished. Over the last ten seasons, the king of the Air Quarter has transformed Dorinport into a haven for hybrids and their families where they can live without the fear of slavers or soldiers. Dorinport is now one of the cleanest and most hospitable ports in the Four Quarters.
Gates (The) - Portals or devices of transport between Baravuth and Earth. The Gates are scattered at seemingly random locations throughout the Quarter World and Earth and appear to only function as one way portals. Once someone is able to locate and traverse through a Gate, they must find another to traverse back. It is written that there is a way to traverse through the same Gate as one originally used, however, the original script was lost almost a millennia ago.
Palace in Splendour (The) - Home of the Sunflare family and lying north of Waterblack. The palace in Splendour was so called after King Beras commanded the entire palace roofs be coated in gold. Each cylindrical spire was coated in a thin sheet of gold and decorated with rubies given as a present from the Rock Quarter. Especially during sunrise and sunset, people gather to marvel at the shining domes of the Palace in Splendour.
Floating Palace (The) - Home to the Eaglewing family and the majority of Halrids. The Floating Palace moves gracefully through the air stopping occasionally at a few chosen stops. It is believed that deep within the Floating Palace is an emerald as large as a mans head called the Flight Stone. The Flight Stone is able to read the thoughts of the current ruler and move in the direction accordingly. This stone however, is considered a myth.
Coral Palace (The) - Home to the Greengil family during the summer seasons. The coral Palace is the main palace. Located at the bottom of the Alaric ocean The coral palace is indeed made entirely of corals, shells, pebbles and seaweed. However during the tempest season the palace is too dangerous to live in and the Greengil family must move to the Palace of A Thousand Isles.
Palace of A Thousand Isles (The) - The second palace and home to the Greengil Family. The Palace of A Thousand Isles is located in the heart of the temperate and warm isle east of the domain of the Air Quarter. The small patch of islands provide ample cover from the harsh tempest that bring about hurricanes and deadly thunderstorms. Lookout towers and a constant guard ensure that trespassers never enter the isles while the king and queen are housed in the Coral Palace.
