Hi! This story is a Pruhun one with a twist. After reading the final episode of the Ouran High School Host Club manga (I highly recommend reading all 18 volumes, by the way), I got the idea to write it out, but instead use Prussia and Hungary (for this, though, I'm going to call them Gilbert and Elizabeta). Hope you enjoy! I've followed the original story quite closely, but I did change some things.

Warning: this is a spoiler to the end of Ouran High School Host Club volume 18. If you haven't finished reading, or hate spoilers, I suggest you stop reading, sorry! >_<

All rights go to Bisco Hatori and Hidekaz Himaruya for the storyline and the characters, respectively.

Oh, I forgot to mention. Elizabeta and Gilbert are going to be 18 and 19 in this story. Also respectively.

"There! I've finally finished the essay," Elizabeta said to herself, stretching her arms high above her head. It was her and Gilbert's 8th month in Boston, and the school work was fairly tough, even with her intelligence.
"Gilbert, I'm done..." she trailed off, walking over to the living room where she knew her boyfriend was.
"... He fell asleep." She looked down at Gil's sleeping form on the couch. His bird was staring at him from its cage cluelessly.
Elizabeta wandered into the kitchen, glancing at the clock. "Ah! It's gotten late... What is all this?!" The last part was said as she took in the mess on the counter and stove. Dirty dishes and utensils were strewn everywhere. It almost made her wonder why she had bought so many kitchen supplies.
"Making such a mess in someone else's kitchen," she muttered, laying a hand on the counter.
"Gilbird, do you know what happened here? Was he venting his impatience? Or just comforting himself?" she asked the little canary.
"We're supposed to have movie night together on Saturdays," Elizabeta continued on. "But I missed tonight because I had to finish that essay. I wonder if he's upset..."
A few hours earlier, Gilbert had brandished a DVD in her face, a hopeful expression gracing his. She had regretfully told him that, I'm sorry. Tonight's no good.
Eliza, you liar! he had exclaimed dramatically. You said we could cuddle tonight!
And yet, he had still come in and pestered her several times while she was writing. After all that, of course she had gotten mad!
"If he wakes up, I'll punch him," she muttered, still venting to the bird.
Are you stuck on something? Is there anything you want me to explain? Gilbert had asked her ceaselessly. Anything at all?
I'm fine. Please go to bed, she had told him in a firm voice.
Being the stubborn person he was, his reply was, I'm not going to bed until we have our cuddle!!
She had fixed him with her best glare that sent him scurrying out.
"Huh? What's this?" Elizabeta asked now in curiosity, lifting a lid off of a pot. "He made stew? As a midnight snack?" She set the lid down. "He can cook?" she wondered incredulously.
She circled around the couch and shook Gilbert gently. "Gil... You shouldn't sleep here. You'll catch cold."
As she shook him, a thick book fell from his hand and face down onto the floor. She stopped down to pick it up and flipped to a random page. "Oh, it's in German... Why's he reading this? For German class?"
Eliza shrugged and went back to shaking him. "Hey, I finished my essay... We can cuddle now."
He didn't respond in the slightest.
   "I'll get a blanket, then..."
She was suddenly hit with sadness. How long had this been going on? Being so busy... She could see on his face that he thought he was the only one who wanted to spend time together...
'He doesn't understand... how much I want to be with him too,' she thought miserably, turning away to get the blanket. His book was still in her clutches.
   A hand suddenly caught hers.
   "Eliza."
She turned back just as Gilbert pulled her to him.
"You finished? Good job." He smiled cheerfully down at her.
But she started flailing, trying to get out of his grasp. "Were you pretending to be asleep?!" she exclaimed.
"I really was asleep," Gilbert replied, grinning deviously, holding her tight against him.
As she squirmed around, her book holding hand went up and smacked him in the chin by accident.
"Ah! I-I'm so sorry!" Elizabeta apologized guiltily, successfully getting out of his grasp.
"I-I'm fine. No worries." He held up his hands, still managing a grin. "Did I drop my book?"
   "Yes."
He thanked her as she gave it back.
"Is it a textbook for your German class?" she asked curiously.
"Huh? Oh. It's called 'The New Husband's Guide to Being Married'. A how to." Gilbert chuckled slightly. "It's easier for me to read books in German, that's all."
   Elizabeta stared at him.
"Shall I read you the section on what a husband should do right after he's married?" he asked, not even waiting for an answer before starting to translate on the spot.
"'First. Be proactive about doing household chores.'"
Eliza rolled her eyes. "Then can you clean up after yourself after using the kitchen?"
"'Second. Do not neglect to express your love to your wife daily.'"
"Ah... Okay. That's enough," she said, blushing slightly in embarrassment. She thought he had been reading a textbook... "And marriage is a long way off, anyway—"
   "'Third.'"
Gil moved his face closer to hers, cupping her neck and tipping her chin up. The book had been set down, but he must have had it memorized.
"'Remember to kiss her every day.'"
Just as their lips were about to meet, Elizabeta's stomach rumbled loudly. She looked down at it, going even more red.
Gilbert just smiled. Genuinely. "But... My princess needs her midnight snack more than a kiss. Shall I heat up the stew for you?" He laughed slightly, stand up with her in tow.
   She nodded. "Thanks."
Hand in hand, they walked the short distance to the kitchen.

And afterwards, they had their cuddle time (while watching a DVD).
Gilbert sat on the couch, Elizabeta nestled between his legs. His arms were around her, and she leaned against his chest.
Tonight's choice was an action flick.

                The end.
