The Meeting

I rub my eyes and stare down at the necklace again. Yep, it's still glowing. I have no idea what this means. I didn't think it looked like a "glow in the dark" type necklace but maybe it is. I'm falling back to sleep when I feel a slight tug. When I open my eyes I realize I'm floating. My scream has no time to form before I hear something outside. I swear someone is moaning. Since I'm staying in a creepy old building and I'm currently floating with a glowing necklace, this really freaks me out. Before I can do anything, I start to move towards the door. The knob turns without anyone turning it. I can feel my heart beating. Creaking eerily, the door swings open. Since I have no control over where I float, I just watch in horror as I am transported out the door and I make my way down the hallway, The moaning sound gets louder and louder and louder. I shut my eyes tightly and wait for the doom I'm sure is around the next corner. A minute later I am still alive.

I open my eyes and stare at what is in front of me. The necklace lies at my feet and produces a sort of mirror. I stare at myself.

"So you wake me up at the dead of night just so I can stare at myself?" I mutter at the necklace. "Don't look at me like that! I'm not the crazy one here! I mean YOU'RE the one who makes people float. I mean really, if you wanted me to look at myself why didn't you wait until the morning? And what was with the moaning? You gave me a heart-attack!" I continue to rant at the stupid chain. Finally I'm done so I look up at the mirror again. I squint. There's a smudge in the corner. When I try to wipe it off, I notice that the smudge is growing. "What is wrong with this place!?" I mutter as I turn around. All I see is a hooded figure before I'm getting pushed into the mirror.

Someone is screaming. They are really loud. I open my eyes and peek through the slits in between my fingers. I'm standing in a small, dark room. I can feel peoples eyes on me. I try to ask who's there and I realize I'm the one that's screaming. Abrubtly, I stop and ask my question.

"We are the Seven. Who are you?" comes the reply.

"So you don't even know the name of the girl you probably just terrorized for life. Well I'm not going to tell you," I say defiantly.

"We already know you name, we just thought you'd want to tell us in person."

"How on earth do you know my name, are you stalkers?" I question suspiciously.

"We have our resources," the 'Seven' state simultaneously. It's really creepy.

"What am I doing in a mirror? Is this another dream? I really need to find out how to stop those," I say distractedly.

"She's had dreams," a soft voice from the corner whispers.

"Is that good or bad?" someone else asks.

"Should we do something?" another one questions.

"This might prove my theory!" Someone else shouts.

"Are you guy's going to keep talking as though I don't exist or not?" I ask annoyed.

"Shhhh," the hushed sound carries over all the voices and everyone goes quiet. "Let the girl talk, we need to hear what she is going to say." Seven pairs of eyes swivel towards me and stare silently.

"Hi," I manage to squeak. "I just want to know where I am." Silence fills the room. After a few seconds everyone bursts into uncontrolled laughter.

"Why is that funny?" I mutter under my breath.

"You will come to understand," the soft voice chuckles as it steps out from the shadows. "It" turns out to be a middle-aged women with brown hair and grayish-brown eyes. A small smile curls up on her face and an almost muted twinkle shines in her eyes yet she still holds the feeling of someone wise and important. "Why don't you come take a small trip with me and I will try to explain."

"Wow. Do you think I'm stupid or something? I'm not just gonna get up and go on 'a small trip' with a complete stranger that just laughed at me and somehow trapped me in a mirror," I state disgustedly. Another chuckle escapes the strange women's smiling lips before she speaks again,

"I see, we have a feisty one on our hands. Come, you will have to get used to me because if you don't you will surely die."

"Okay, NOW this is getting weird. When can I wake up?" I question. She sighs.

"Follow me and I will show you," she says and walks towards another door/ mirror thingy. I have no other options so I get up and follow her.
