Louis opened the door to his flat and roughly pushed me inside, slamming the door behind him. "Why did you stay with that prick?", Louis said harshly, making me jump. I bit my lip and looked down, not sure how to respond to him in a way that would make him happy. "I don't know", I finally mumbled, and Louis sighed heavily, slamming his fist down onto the kitchen counter. I stayed silent, hoping that this would pass and that he wouldn't hurt me. I hardly even knew this boy, I don't know why I was alone with him, let alone at his house.
I pulled out my phone carefully, intending to text one of my friends so they could come pick me up, but Louis had other plans. He ripped my phone out of his hands and hit the power button, turning it off and shoving it in his pocket. "You're not leaving. You're staying right here, where I can keep you safe", He snarled, and I quickly shoved my hands in my pocket so he couldn't see them shaking. I stayed silent, hoping that he would let me go so I could sneak out, or at least sleep, but of course, that would never happen.
Out of nowhere he grabbed my waist and shoved me up against the wall, pressing his hips and chest tightly against mine so I wouldn't move. "Do you know what he could have done to you? He could have killed you Rylee, and no one could have done anything to stop him. You would have come home one day and he would have been sitting on the couch, waiting for you with a beer in his hand, furious at you for something you never did. He would have taken you somewhere, into a basement, probably, and killed you. After a day or two he would have found some way to get your body outside, then he would have buried you somewhere, somewhere no one would ever find you", Louis whispered slowly, his head in my neck, his warm breath tickling my skin.
I was scared, but Louis' presence made me feel somewhat safe, in some way. I knew he could protect me from Jay, but he also scared me.
Louis' hands went down to my hips squeezing them tightly as he tried to control his breathing. I whimpered quietly, and it was only then that Louis seemed to realize that he was scaring me. He froze, then took a little step back, still keeping his hands on my waist, but far enough so that he wasn't pressed up against me. He looked at me, regret clear in his beautiful bluish green eyes, and whispered a quiet sorry.
I could tell that he felt something for me, but at the moment I didn't feel anything back. My heart felt as though it had turned to stone, probably from sleeping with all of those guys, just to get back at Jay.
"Look at me", he whispered, taking his left hand off of my hip so he could lift my head up to look at him. He took a deep breath and started singing 93 Million Miles, one of my favourite songs.
"
93 million miles from the Sun, people get ready get ready,
'cause here it comes it’s a light, a beautiful light, over the horizon into our eyes
Oh, my my how beautiful, oh my beautiful mother
She told me, "Son in life you’re gonna go far, and if you do it right you’ll love where you are
Just know, that wherever you go, you can always come home"
Ohh…ohh…ohh…
Ohh…ohh…ohh…
240 thousand miles from the Moon, we’ve come a long way to belong here,
To share this view of the night, a glorious night, over the horizon is another bright sky
Oh, my my how beautiful, oh my irrefutable father,
He told me, "Son sometimes it may seem dark, but the absence of the light is a necessary part.
Just know, you’re never alone, you can always come back home"
Ohh…ohh…ohh…
Ohh…ohh…ohh…
You can always come back…back…
Every road is a slippery slope
There is always a hand that you can hold on to.
Looking deeper through the telescope
You can see that your home’s inside of you.
Just know, that wherever you go, no you’re never alone, you will always get back home
Ohh…ohh…ohh…
Ohh…ohh…ohh…
Ohh…ohh…ohh…
Ohh…ohh…ohh…
Ohh…ohh…ohh…
93 million miles from the Sun, people get ready get ready,
'cause here it comes it’s a light, a beautiful light, over the horizon into our eyes… "
He looked me in the eye the whole song, not breaking eye contact once. "You're never alone", he whispered gently, and I smiled slightly, reaching up to kiss him on the cheek. "Come on, you should get to bed. I don't have an extra room, but I have a king sized bed upstairs, is that okay?", he asked, and I nodded, following him upstairs.
I stripped off my clothes and climbed to bed while Louis was in the bathroom, and when he came back, he was only wearing boxers. "I hope you don't mind", he whispered, climbing into be beside me. I shivered when he lifted the covers up, and he instinctively wrapped his arms around me to keep me warm. The last thing I remember was Louis gently kissing my neck once before squeezing me gently and falling asleep.
