I hear my mom call me from downstairs. I need to leave, but I can't let go. This is our last time to see each other again until who knows? I draw back from the hug, only to see tears in Lexie's eyes.
"Bye Lex. I'll miss you", I softly whispered
"I'll miss you too Drakey", she murmurred while wiping her tears. "Sandali, eto. Pag nagkita tayo ulit ibabalik mo saakin yan ah"? She handed me a necklace with a teddy bear pendant on it.
"Good luck sa grade 1 Lexie ah"
And there she goes, slowly fading away out of my sight as she walks towards their car. I brust into tears.
