I walk into the halls of my new school. Freshman year. Well, at least nothing bad has happened yet. And did I mention that this is nothing like what I saw in the movie High School Musical? This place is a total disaster. My friends all went to different schools so now I'm stuck here alone but I know I'll make friends.
As I breeze by the hallway with my group of freshmen, we begin to enter the school's gymnasium. Here we meet our new advisors and the school's staff. A loud sound of feedback came onto the speakers.
"Good morning students of Wembleton High"! exclaimed Principal Aragon. "Welcome to a new school year. A year where we will learn to find ourselves not just as a student, but as an individual, as a soul"!
"Yeah right...they probably say this every year"
"They do", the voice of a girl who seemed to sit behind me said. "Hi! I'm Alexandra, pero my friends call me Lexie, I'm 14...I know I'm too young for high school but I got bumped up a grade. Anyway, ikaw? Anong pangalan mo"?
"Ah. Ako si-si Drake . I'm new here."
"Oh, well do you want me to show you around after the assembly"?
"Sige ba"
A few minutes later the assembly finally came to a conclusion. Alexandra grabbed my hand and pulled me out of my seat. She began to run down the halls. She showed me around the entire school in less than an hour! Boy this girl is fast at running and also at talking. It's amazing because this is one of the biggest schools in the Philippines!
Since Principal Aragon said we had the entire day to ourselves, Alexandra brought me to her dorm. We sat down on her bed.
"Mahilig ka sa pelikula?", asked Alexandra
"Sakto lang" I answered
"Oooooh! Alam ko na! Ano ba type mong mga pelikula? Horror? Comedy? Drama? Or romance?"
"Kahit ano"
"Ang labo mo naman Drakey"
"What did you say?"
"Drakey. Bakit?"
"Yun kasi yung tawag saakin ng kababata ko. Sandali, diba sabi mo Alexandra yung pangalan mo? Lexia palayaw mo diba"
"Sandali...DRAKE"?!?
