Chapter Two
Loren’s POV
I finally realized where I remembered this boy from. He was the guy from the gas station back in California. I wonder why he was here.
“Nice to meet you Colson. Hey, didn’t I see you awhile back in California? Or was the somebody else?”
Colson chuckled. “Nah, that was me. What are you doing out here in Cleveland tho?”
“I’m finishing up my last two years of school at Cleveland State University”
Colson nods his head. “Oh nice”.
“What about you? Why are you in Cleveland?”
“Oh me and my boys live out here. So I guess I’ll be seeing you a lot right?” Colson smiled. That gorgeous smile. I honestly could say I was looking forward to getting to know Colson and the boys. I mean at least I’ll know somebody since we just moved here.
“Hey maybe we could hang soon? Ya know, you , Kat, me, and the boys?”
“Yea of course. You have my number. Text me sometime.”
“Alright, I will.”
“Well I gotta get back to work, but it was nice finally meeting you.” Colson and I walked back over to the table where we left the guys so I could get my drinks and Kat.
“Alright Kat let’s go”. Colson pulled me into a tight hug and whispered in my ear “alright ma I’ll talk to you later”. I released myself from his embrace, grabbed my shots, and went back to work.
2 days Later
That night Colson and I ended up talking more at the club anyway. We even danced too. So far him and the boys seemed pretty cool. It was now Sunday, and the boys had invited us to their house for a cook out. We were still driving but almost at his house. I decided to let Colson know so he could come out to the front.
Text to Colson :
Hey , we’re almost there. Be outside.
Text from Colson :
Haha alright.
Soon Kat and I pulled up to a big red house. It wasn’t a mansion or anything, but it was still large. When I got out the car I saw Colson and smiled. He smiled back and walked over to me.
“Damn, you look sexy”, Colson said as he hugged me. I had on a red and black romper with my hair up in a bun.
“Thanks” Kat said hi to Colson and went over by Slim.
Colson’s POV
Loren was sexy as fuck! Her hair was simple, yet so gorgeous. She didn’t need make up or anything to look as beautiful as she does. I wonder if she had a man. But then again, her man wouldn’t let her come out here by herself.
“So tell me about yourself Loren.”
“Well as you know, I’m from California. I just turned 21 last month, I’m only 5’3, and umm my favorite color is red.”
“Yo man let you come out here by yourself?”
Loren chuckled. “I’m actually single.” Bingo.
“A girl as beautiful as you is single? Why?”
Loren blushed. “I don’t know, I guess I haven’t really tried to be in a relationship with anyone. What about you?”
I put my hands in my pocket. Well clearly I didn’t have a girlfriend. I seem to come off as an ass a lot and girls don’t like it. “Nah, I don’t have a girl”, I chuckled. The only thing that was on my mind was making Loren mine.
I grabbed Loren’s hand “Come on, let’s go around to the back”.
