Chapter 17: Lanterns

"Huh...So where we headed?" I asked while being carried around by Marshall. "To my main girl's party in the woods." He grinned. "In the woods? That's pretty cool."  I smiled. "Of course it's cool. What do you expect from vampires?" He said proundy.

"Hehe, yeah. So who's the girl? Is it her birthday?" I asked.

"No, Violet  just like's to throw rad parties."

"Oh. Okay."

"Right, we're here." He said as we landed to a forest filled with trees that has beautiful lanterns hanging on them. They were all beautiful. So bright and simple...so peaceful and refreshing for the eyes.

"Beautiful!" I shouted. "But where's the people?" I asked as I noticed that nobody is around. 

"This isnt the party Fi." He chucked. "The party's down there" He pointed a cave.

"There?" We started to walk towards it.

"It seem's dark." I frowned. "Vampire's like dark places." He replied. "But don't you think it'd be more fun out here? I mean, look at these lanterns."

"Probably, let's just go." He took my hand and pulled me into the cave.

Eeeeh...But I like it out there...I wanna look at the lanterns some more...

As we kept walking forward, I was starting to hear some loud, rock n roll music. 

"Woah." I murmured as I saw so many vampires were fighting, laughing, drinking, flirting, in this so called party. It look's insane.

"Haha, whatcha think?" He smiled proudly. "Umm, it looks fine." I faked a smile.

"Yo Marshall!" A voice said from above. "You made it!" A beautiful floating woman said.

"Course." Marshall gave her a high five. "Who's the chick?" She smiled at me. 

"Oh, this is Fionna. Fionna the human." Marshall introduced. "Fionna, this is Violet."

"Hey." I waved at her. "Sup." She waved as well. "So MarMar, she's your girlfriend? She's pretty cute." 

Marshall then suddenly looked at me, gave me a smirk and moved both he's brow's up and down.

I groaned out of annoyance. 

"No, I'm not." I answered for him. I felt a depressed sigh out of him. "Really?" Violet asked. "Yeah, but she is my date for tonight." Marshall interrupted as he placed his arm around shoulders. I twitched out of shock.

"So she's all mine." He added and I just felt my cheeks burning up. Damn you.

"How nice. You're lucky Human. Marshall's a real catch back in the nightosphere." Violet winked at me. I felt awkward for a moment there.

"Hehe...Yeah, but it's only for tonight." I removed his arm around me. "Well you better keep an eye on him. Somebody might make a move without you noticing." She then floated away.

Yeah...I don't really care.

"Geez Fionna, you're no fun." He sighed at me. "I'm not trying to be 'fun'...I'm just trying to avoid misunderstandings." 

"What's there to misunderstand? You already know that I love you." He said simply.

NO! no! don't do this to me cheeks! There's nothing there to be red about! He just stated an embarrassing fact! Nothing big! He's just being a stupid butt nut.

"W-what...whatever. Let's just party." I awkwardly walked away.

I heard him chuckled from the back.
