Hello my fans! I'll keep it short, because this is one of my favorite chapters. The picture is of Johnny Deep who plays Mr. Carrington. The song is Clocks by Coldplay. Read, Recommend, Vote, and Comment. :-)

It was nine o'clock on Saturday morning when Joan woke up. She sat up in her bed and smiled. She had to double check, it was the third Saturday of February. Her and Adrian's anniversary. She got out of bed, changed out of her PJ's and put on some Catholic U sweatpants, a tan sports bra, and a white Tinkerbell tank top.
"This is gonna be so much fun." Joan thought to herself. "Just like every anniversary. I know that most couples like to change up their anniversary and all of that, but really Adrian and I were built on sameness. Sameness causes some couples to crumble, but it only made my and Adrian's relationship stronger. Sameness is awesomeness." Joan thought this to herself as she walked down the five flights of stairs that separated her attic bedroom and their kitchen. She then made her cup of Good Earth Vanilla Chai tea and her parent's a pot of coffee. Popping a piece of whole grain bread into the toaster she took out her favorite brand of all-natural strawberry preserves, the tub of margarine, and a banana. She sat sipping her tea when the bread popped out of the toaster. Slathering margarine, strawberry preserves, and banana slices on her toast she took a piece or untoasted rye bread and put it on top.
"Hmmmmmmmm. Breakfast sandwich. I love Saturday's." said Joan quietly as she flipped open the newspaper to the comics. Her parents normally read the front page first making their way to the comics. But that wasn't Joan's style. She would read the comics first then read the rest of the paper to learn about how screwed up the economy, the government, and basically the world was.
She then finished her breakfast, walked up to her and read Something Blue by Emily Griffin for a half hour, by then it was ten o'clock. She then changed into sweat absorbent workout clothes, packed her iPod and a bottle of water, and walked out to her next door neighbors house. They were workout fanatics and allowed people from the neighborhood to use the extension that they had built for a gym. It was great because it was thirty seconds away, her mom and "female owner" were friends so Joan got special privileges, and there was no fee.
After working out for an hour Joan walked back home and took a shower. By now it was eleven-thirty and her cell phone was buzzing from new text messages. Joan smiled. She always told her friends to never text her before eleven thirty on weekends. Why, they didn't know. But that was her preference. As she checked her messages she smiled. She had gotten a message from Adrian.
Hey baby. super excited about 2nite. gonna b diff in a good way!
xoxoxo ur boo.
Joan smiled. "I wonder what he means by 'different in a good way.'" She mused aloud.
"Joan! Could you come down here honey?" yelled her mom.
"Sure mom. Coming!" Joan yelled back. She looked at the text message one more time before going downstairs. When she got downstairs she saw her parents sitting at the kitchen table, on opposite ends, with solemn expressions on their faces. Joan pulled out a chair and sat down.
"What's wrong? Did someone die?" Joan asked immediately. Then cursed herself inwardly. "Don't assume the worst." she thought to herself.
"No, no one died." her father said curtly. Joan's mother glared at him.
"Joan, honey, your father and I are getting a divorce." said her mom. Even though Joan knew that this was coming, her parents relationship had been getting steadily worse, it still came as a blow.
