A Unexpected Event (OC x Reptile)

Chapter 1: WTF

Skylar POV:

          "Ughhh" I groan as I wake up that morning. I had gone to bed at 2pm last night and I was extremely tired. I went to the bathroom and took a shower and then proceed to fix my hair and brush my teeth. After words I made my way to my closet and picked out a pair of blue jeans, black t-shirt that said "you suck", and just threw on a black pair socks and went down stairs to make some breakfast.

          I decided that I was going to make some waffles and eggs. I almost burnt the waffles, but I got the eggs just right. I sat down on the couch and started to eat, while I was doing so I started to decide what I wanted to do today. I thought about maybe cleaning up some, but that required lots of work. Then I finally decided I would go to the mall and walk around and buy a few things.

          Once I finished I brought my dish to the sink and rinsed it off and put it in the dish washer. I grabbed my phone, wallet, and car keys. I looked around to make sure I wasn't forgetting something. I saw my Xbox One and thought 'I should buy a new game for that at the mall.'

          So in all I bought two new t-shirts, a new pair of jeans, some new shoes, and I decided to buy Mortal Kombat X as my new game. I have never played a Mortal Kombat before, but it seemed fun. I was actually really excited to get started. I through the bags into my room upstairs then raced downstairs and put MKX into my Xbox One and let it download.

           After it finished downloading I instantly got started by playing some towers. I didn't really know what character to pick so I just picked Reptile because he looks like a lizard and I mean lizards are pretty cool.

           (AN: I don't remember if custom towers is an actual thing but for the purpose of this story it will be. Also some of these characters might not be in MKX, but they will be for this story. Lastly Reptile is in his Reptile form the whole time, but Ermac is human.)

           I had a custom tower set up so that I fought Scorpion, Sub Zero, Ermac, and Smoke. I decided to just ninjas. I had to retry the Scorpion fight once because I was starting off in the game. Then the fight against Sub Zero took me three times. Ermac took me another 3 times, and then finally I was at Smoke. Smoke had once the first round because I wasn't ready for what he was going to do, but on the second round I beat him and tied it up. On the last round we were both about three fourths down in health, but all the sudden the power went out.

"Awwhhh man, I was about to win....maybe." I cried

          Out of nowhere I heard bang in the rooms upstairs. Now one thing to know about me is that I hate the dark and I don't find it helpful that now I hear noises. I didn't know what to do so I just remained laid down on the couch until the power was turned back on. I sat in silence for about 5 minutes until I heard a hiss come from somewhere in the room. I don't own any animals so that is definitely some random creature. (A/N: Reptile has a tail in this) I was frightened beyond belief and had no clue what to do besides try to exit my house. I slowly took my phone out of my pocket, and turned on the flashlight.  I shined it around the living room because that's where I heard the noise, but I saw nothing. I started to walk upstairs and check where the bang came from, there is only two rooms up here so it wont take long to find where it came from.  I went to the guest room and there was nothing there. I gulped because I knew the last option was my room so this is where I will find the source. I was shaking so when I grabbed the door handle it shook to and that's when things got crazy.

          A spear on a chain came flying threw the door and I screamed as loud as I could. I ran down stairs while crying form fear.

"GET OVER HERE!" Someone yelled and the spear came flying down the stairs and nearly hit me, but instead hit right in front of me.  I screamed again when it landed and ran for the door.

'WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!' is all I could think in my head. I was about to reach the door, but one of my left foot got stuck. I couldn't move it and I don't know why, but all I knew is that it was getting really cold.

"PLEASE DON'T KILL M-M-ME-ME!" I cried as I was trying to break, what I realized was, ice around my other foot. I finally broke the ice, but as soon as I did I felt something touch my shoulder and I screamed and punched whatever it was. I grabbed the door handle and opened the door, but as I attempted to sprint out the door, something wrapped around my legs like a snake and tripped me onto the floor. I cried and screamed as I got dragged back into the house and then something violently  grabbed me and threw me on to my couch. I couldn't stop crying from all the fear and I didn't dare open my eyes.

"What should we do with her Ermac?"

"Well we don't know where we are so we should probably ask her questions." Replies Ermac.

'THERE'S MORTAL KOMBAT CHARACTERS IN MY HOUSE?!?!' I thought to myself.

"Human, what is your name?" A weird voice said. I didn't answer though because all I could do was cry.

"She's scared to death." One of them said.

"Well we need answers, so one way or another we are going to get them." Another said.

"I'll ask again, what is your name?" I still couldn't reply I was in complete shock and I didn't want to open my eyes. After about 20 seconds of silence another one said something.

"That's it, if you do not reply in the next 10 seconds I send I spear right through you."

"NO PLEASE...I DON'T WANT TO D-DI-I-IEEE...!" I said crying even more. One of them sighed.

"Scorpion, don't threaten her. That isn't going to help."

"Got her to talk though..." Scorpion replied.

"Please girl tell us, what is your name?" A different voice said this time.

"S-S-Skylar..." I said still scared.

"Where are we Skylar?" That weird voice said.

"I-I-In my house, I-I don't know how you got here, j-j-just please don't k-kill me." I said shyly.

"We aren't going to kill you, please just open your eyes." Ermac said.

I was so scared to, but I also didn't want to upset Scorpion again. So I proceed to open eyes, and when I did, there standing in front of me was Scorpion, Smoke, Ermac, and Sub-Zero. I wanted to scream, but didn't.

"Hi there." Sub-Zero said.

"H-H-Hi." I replied.

"I'm Sub-Zero."

"I'm Smoke."

"I'm Scorpion."

"I'm Ermac."

They all said introducing themselves, but the weird thing was is that I didn't hear that non-human sounding voice.

"Is there another one o-" I started to say until this person that was a reptile turned un invisible and appeared in front of me.

"And I'm Reptile!" He said.

This scared me so bad that I screamed and jumped off the couch and ran upstairs into my room that still had a hole in the door. I jumped into my bed and covered myself with the sheets and blankets.

"Skylar I can see you under the sheets, through this hole in the door." Smoke said.

I just sat there and ignored him. I sat there for about another 5 minutes and then I heard Scorpion say.

"She is probably sleeping, let her be and we will talk in the morning. I guess we are going to be staying here so we should probably find somewhere to sleep and get some rest for tomorrow."

'Oh great, a bunch of killer ninjas in my house...' I thought as I slowly drifted off to sleep.
