Sitting on the ledge of a cliff at a park. Staring off into the distance, thinking of what happened earlier. 

Maybe, it was my fault.

I wasn't strong enough.

I failed.

I didn't do anything to stop Rakuzan.

I didn't do anything to stop Akashi.

Or maybe, I did.

But it wasn't enough.

I failed the team.

I'm so pathetic.

I can't do anything right.

Maybe, I'm just a burden to the team.

A nuisance.

Useless.

I should've created a better play.

The fact that I can see the entire court.

Tch. I don't deserve my position.

What a pain.

Losing really is frustrating.

My train of thoughts was interrupted when I heard a faint whimper of a girl from behind. I turned around and saw a [Hair Color]/nette girl. Her [Eye Color] staring at my slate blue orbs. And I noticed that she's close to tears. She started walking towards the ledge of the cliff, but I can see her body shaking.

Ahh. So cute.

Chuckling, I got up and walked towards her. She opened her eyes and gasped quietly, "Ahh. I-I'm sorry." she stuttered. I stare at her tear stained eyes, "What's wrong, cutie?" I asked her. She grin which made my heart race. Ahh she smiles like an angel. "Ahh. I'm deathly afraid of heights.." she trailed off. I tilt my head in confusion, "I—uhh. I want to get over my fear of heights because you look so lonely and I just want to make sure if you're okay." My jaw dropped.

She really is an angel!

I smile widely and grab both of her hands, staring at her [Eye Color] eyes, "I'm fine." She blushed as her gaze land upon our hands, "Ahh." I immediately pulled my hands and rub my nape in shame, "I'm sorry." I apologized.

What the hell, Takao? Act normal!

She shook her head, giggling, "It's okay."

"If you don't mind, May I know your name, beautiful?"

"[First Name] [Last Name]." Ahh. Even her name is beautiful.

I will make her mine.. that's a promise.

This time, I'll do my very best.

"It's nice to meet you, [First Name] [Last Name]. Let's overcome your fear, together. Then we'll sit at the ledge of the cliff and talk about random things. Sounds like a good idea, yeah?"

"Hmm. Let's go then!" she cheered as we burst into fits of laughter.

I may have lost the game today, but with her by my side, I feel like I won the game.. of life.

And hopefully, this will be forever.
