The poetry I like writing is Free verse poetry, meaning:
Poetry that follows no rules. Just about anything goes.
I love writing Similes and Metaphors too.

My teacher gave us a task, giving the theme as 'Love.'
She said to write down a poem, with at least one or based on a metaphor.
Love is a lady killer As an example.
Here was my finished product;
Love is an idea.
A spark of creativity.
It's the dream of wings,
The touch of feathers.
It's the rise and fall
Of a newborn's chest.
Love is a light,
Brighter than any star.
It clicks like a clock
to the beat of a heart.
Love is a dress,
That mends with help.
Love is a tree,
So strong and true.
Love is this poem
When I think of you.
