We were staying at my grandmas for a week in Florida. Since my dad lived in California we couldn't stay there. Once we got there we ran into the house as fast as we could. We saw grandma making cookies. We ran over and hugged her. "Hey girls!" Grandma said as she hugged us. "Can we get in your pool?" Asked Hailey. "Sure. Just make sure your dad can watch you" she answered.
A/n -The next couple of days weren't important. So I'm going to skip to the day before we left.
Finally it was the day before we left. That night was going to change everything. "We have something to tell you girls." Dad said. I was thinking just maybe it would be good. "I'm pregnant." Christy (step mom) said. I was so shocked. I didn't know what to think. I knew that there was no chance of my parents ever getting back together. I wanted to cry. They said goodnight to everyone and left. I silently cried myself to sleep. I later found out that they met on a dating website.
That whole drive home I didn't want to see or talk to my dad. He shattered my heart.
