Murphy's Law:
Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong...
My crew and I are exploring Venus finding, resources, life, and a home on Mission Terraform. We were a great team and was number one on the test that we did. "Look over there!" said Joe. It was a flat land for a perfect home to set up. We were here to find another earth, that is because our earth is dying from the disasters of mother nature. My crew started setting up the camp, and worked for several earth-hours. " Hey, do you think there's actually, well you know.. living organisms here Chris?" said Mike. "We'll gonna have to explore to find out" I said. It was getting late, which was a bad thing because a day on venus is 5,832 hours. We went to our tubes to skip the night. It was 283 days later, and we went out to explore this planet. We traveled for miles to find this living organism on a whole different planet. "Guys! I think I found something!" said Tyson using the binoculars. "I can see it, here give it to me," I said. it was something moving from a large distant. And so we ran after it trying to learn what organism has to offer. We set a trap so that we can catch this moving object. "Guys here it comes," said Mike. As the moving object moved closer and closer to the trap, we were filled with excitement. "We're gonna get him!" exclaimed Tyson. But the object was no more as it vanished and ran away in the distant. Disappointed we were, went back to our camp. " Well look at the bright side, we know that there are living organisms on Venus." said Tyson. "Well it's the act of Murphy's Law, whatever can happen, will happen." I said. We wanted to expand our camp and make more resources like a farm, our own buildings, and whatever we can make, but we need resources to be sent here from our dying earth. "Hey Mike, why do you look so down?" I said. "I don't know, it's just because I miss earth, and my family. I want to go back ASAP when we're done here." said Mike.
I checked out the other crew members and they were all doing fine. We all went in the cabinets to get dinner. "This food sucks," Mike declared. "Were gonna go out and see what we can find, also were running out of water, so we better find some quick!." said Mike. "But water is very limited in this planet it's, too risky, you might die." SHUT UP CHRIS WE'RE GONNA DIE HERE IF WE DON"T FIND ANYTHING THAT'S GONNA HELP US SURVIVE, THERE'S NO POINT OF EXPLORING IF WE ARE GOING TO DIE!" Mike gasped for breath, temporarily forgetting that screaming while hooked up to a regular supply of oxygen doesn't go well. "Well, don't blame me if you die," I said. "And don't blame me if we die from dehydration," Mike shot back, then stormed out. "Mike went out to find water for the rest of us."That idiot." Said Tyson. "He's got a temper!" said Joe. "Does he know how risky it is to go alone on a planet that's uninhabitable?" I said. As we were working on sending the data about this planet back to earth, I went to bed and all of a sudden, I felt a rumble from the ground. It was really strong earthquake, I knew something ominous was approaching in our way. "I hope Mike is doing alright out there." " You guys felt that?!" exclaimed Tyson. "I sure did, what's going to happen?" questioned Joe. Fear started to fill me, from what's going to happen to us. I felt like this earthquake was different from any earthquake I have experienced. Hours passed by and Mike hasn't returned. "Wheres Mike!?" exclaimed Joe. "He's nowhere to be seen." Tyson said. "I think he's actually gone." I said. Now fear started to fill me up twice as fast, as I do not know what happened to him, this mystery is going to haunt me. "I'am going outside I'm gonna look for him!" I exclaimed, "No! it's too dangerous." said Tyson. "I should've stopped him when I had the chance!" I said, and ran out to get him. I have been traveling, trying to find him. I saw an object lying on the Venus grounds. I went up to him and tried to get him up. "Hey Mike snap out of --", and as I turned him over I saw that a rock had punctured his helmet his face. In terror I crawled back "Oh no..."Maybe this was from the violent rumble that was occurring. I went back to tell the terrible news to my other crewmen. As I opened the hatch several voices exclaimed "Where is Mike?!" "He's dead, he's gone." And silence filled the room.
