Don't Mess With the Best

Chapter 1: Moving On

It officially has been a year since they went to Tokyo. Robin and Starfire, together of course. Cyborg, well, still the same. Raven, same as usual. But Beast Boy, he can never forget about Terra. He remembered that day (episode 65: Things Change) when the girl who looked like Terra told him that the girl he's looking for is just a memory. All those exact words from that girl kept repeating in his head, like voices that will never leave him alone. Day by day he grew sadder and less happier then usual. When Cyborg wants to play video games with him, he declines and walks away. When Robin and Starfire wants to help him, he declines and says he's ok. Eventually it was Raven's turn to cheer the young green teenager up.

Beast Boy was walking to the roof with Terra's heart box and during that time was Raven's moment to meditate on the roof. So she followed him without being noticed. As he entered, he walked towards the sunset and stood there, watching. He eventually sat down, opening the box to look at his reflection. Raven was behind him and she put her hand on his shoulder. He slowly turned his head and rose up. "I'm sorry Raven. I'll go---"
"No. You don't have to," she said.
"It's just, it's so hard to, move on. Everyday I can't stop thinking about her," he said.
"Well, change in all things is sweet,"
"What?"
"It's a quote from a famous Greek philosopher name Aristotle."
"Huh?"
"Never mind. What I meant to say was, there's a silver lining to every change. If we don't change, then we're not living at all. What's the point of living a life if nothing new happens?"
He sighed and looked at the box again with no response to her question.
"Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all," she said.
"Thanks Raven," he answered then threw the box across the ocean.
"Why'd you throw that away?" she asked him.
"Maybe it is time to move on."
"If you say so." Then she floated in mid-air in her meditating position but then Beast Boy held her hand, with both of them blushing and smiling.
"Mind if I join you?" He asked then made the same position Raven was making, still holding hands.
