The image above is of milk giver and her kits.

All I remember was the intense heat that was surrounding us. My ears and my eyes weren't even open yet because I was only half a moon old. But I could still hear the fire roaring furiously as if we did something bad, something very bad.

I was hanging from my first mother, my milk givers mouth, squished against my siblings as she pelted nimbly through the forest. The pungent stench of the smoke was choking me, I could taste the smoke. My tail bushy kit tail was dragging on the ground getting very matted as it was gathering mud, twigs leaves and ashes from the fire. My tail was burning and milk giver almost tripped over our tails. But it was worse for my brother, his tail was dragging over hot embers because he was on the outside of her mouth closest to the angry flames reaching for the stars, as I was in the middle.

The intense heat of the lapping flames was slowly dying down in the new world around us. My nose was flooded with exciting new scents as the choking smoke of the fire left. We were far from the fire. We had survived.

Milk giver slowed to a speedy trot and I could tell that she was relieved as the stress slowly left. My muscles relaxed against my siblings. and dropped us in a gorse bush, her once My milk giver stopped and sniffed around for a place to hide us. I could hear her belly rumble as I realized how hungry I too was.

She stopped and dropped us in a gorse bush. Her once autumn sweet scent was overwhelmed by the scent of cinders that would haunt us for days until it went away. She nuzzled leaves and twigs over us for protection.

I could no longer hear the furious roaring of the angry fire.

As mother covered us up she froze. All her muscles went tense and tight. She sniffed each one of us and whimpered stressfully. I realized something was not right. Not right at all. There were only two bodies with me in the tight space under the leaves. Someone was missing. Milk giver licked each one of us and nuzzled some more leaves onto us. I remember she then bolted back off into the direction of our home being devoured by the angry flames in search of our sister.
