Chapter 1

I woke up to my stupid alarm I pressed the snooze button but it kept on going off. I ignored it and looked out the window. I was shocked to see tons of police cars circling the house. I ran downstairs to the law in my house taking my father away. I just stood there with a face full of shock and worry. I'm worried that I will be homeless if they take my father away,I don't like my father but he is the only family I have left. My mother died when I was three so I don't have any memories of her. A woman in a suit started coming toward me. I began to panic she kept on coming closer and closer and closer. She opened her crossed arms and pulled me into a soothing hug. I returned the hug immediately . She walked me to the kitchen table and explained to me how her and her husband want to adopt me . I've never been so happy in my life to know that someone wants to help me. She told me her name Katherine . Katherine told me to go upstairs to pack my stuff. I ran up the stairs and got my suitcases out the closet that I was gonna use when I ran away I packed all my clothes ( which was not very much) and took them downstairs . She helped me put the suitcase in the car, and we went in the car to my new house. It was really far away so it took us a couple hours to get there by the time we got there I was sleepy she told me where my room was. I went upstairs and into my room to see a dark figure on sitting on my bed. The figure stepped into the light , and I saw the man who I never thought I would see again my father. He pulled a gun out of the waistband of his jeans and mouthed the words " I'm sorry" he then aimed the gun at me and pulled the trigger
