"Can we pleeeease play tonight?"

Harry and Taylor were in bed together, cuddling in the morning light as they struggled to get up and let go of each other. Taylor had her arms wrapped around her boyfriend when she nuzzled her face into his neck.

"You sound very eager, babe," Taylor spoke quietly into Harry's ear.

"It's just we haven't played in so long, I feel like I'm losing my mojo," Harry explained, gently pulling himself away from Taylor so that he could sit up on the bed. "It'll be fun, I promise."

"Okaaay," Taylor complied, giving in to his request. It wasn't that Taylor wasn't up for playing games, but she knew how competitive they both were. It was going to end with one of them being a sore loser and the other trying to comfort them while still being the smug winner. It was one of the things that made them love each other yet drove them crazy.

Once Taylor agreed, Harry quickly laid a kiss on her cheek and got up from the bed. He stretched out his arms and headed for the bathroom to shower.

"You won't regret it!" His voice was loud as he shouted from the bathroom, causing Taylor to simply roll her eyes and laugh.

.....

"I hope you don't mind, I invited Joe and Gigi to come over and play with us," Taylor informed Harry, who was busy cooking dinner for the two of them.

Harry's eyes widened and a look of panic came across his face. "Wait, what?! Why?!"

"Why not?" Taylor asked, confused by his reaction. "What's wrong with Joe and Gigi?"

"Nothing, nothing's wrong..." he started to respond. "I just wanted to play one on one."

"Oh, okay..." Taylor trailed off, finding his explanation a bit odd. "I can uninvite them? If you want...?"

Harry let out a sigh and shook his head, not having a better excuse to give his girlfriend for wanting to be alone tonight. "No, it's fine. Don't uninvite them, it'd be rude."

Taylor nodded her head and came closer to Harry. She could tell something was bothering him, but she wasn't sure how to even ask him. He was acting strange, that was clear, but she didn't want to think it was something she did wrong.

.....

Harry sat in the living room, spinning around the scrabble board that was set up on the coffee table. His thoughts were jumbled up in his head, wondering how he was going to pull off what he had planned for what seemed like the longest time.

"So guess what?" Taylor came into the room, causing Harry's thoughts to pause as he looked up at her with a curious look on his face.

"Hm?"

"Gigi just texted, she and Joe can't make it," Taylor said as she sat down across from Harry.

Harry tried not to look too relieved, but he couldn't help it. He was glad to find that his plan was back in motion.

"We'll invite them for the next game," Harry said genuinely. It wasn't that Harry had a problem with Joe and Gigi, he actually enjoyed their company, but he needed to be alone with Taylor tonight. Just him and the love of his life.

"Alright, Styles, let's get started then," Taylor said as she clasped her hands together.

The game began and they both took their turns placing their words down on the board. Taylor took the lead for much of the game, though this time, Harry wasn't as determined to beat her. He knew he was going to win this game.

Harry cleared his throat and looked up at Taylor with his best puppy dog face.

"Babe?"

"Yeah?" Taylor asked distractedly as she tried to focus on her tiles, attempting to figure out her next word.

"Do you mind getting me a glass of water?" Harry pleaded softly, a pout formed on his lips. "I'd go get it myself, but my leg's fallen asleep."

Taylor couldn't say no to the face Harry was giving her. There was no escaping a pout from Harry Styles.

"Fine, but no cheating," she said in her best threatening voice.

The moment Taylor stepped out of the room, Harry slid off the tiles that were already on the board and scrambled to find the letters he was looking for.

"Shit," he said under his breath as he tried to hurry as fast as he could, realizing he misspelled a word. He fixed it as quickly as he could, knowing Taylor could return in any second.

His expectations were right when Taylor came walking back into the living room with a glass of water in her hand.

"Thank you, baby," Harry beamed a smile at her, almost angelically and waited for her to sit down.

Taylor took her seat across from Harry on the couch but was startled to find Harry had quickly gotten down on one knee right in front of her. Her body froze while her eyes gaped at Harry. He twisted the board around so that it was facing her now and held one of her hands in his.

Taylor read out the words on the board.

I LOVE YOU
WILL YOU MARRY ME

Taylor read it out in her head over and over again.

"We've been through so much since that first time we met. It's crazy to think that we were broken up for so long before we found our way back to each other," Harry began to speak and Taylor's attention was completely his. She couldn't take her eyes off him at this point, watching his eyes blink and his lips move.

"I don't ever want us to be apart again. I love you so much," Harry continued while his hand reached into his pocket and took out a ring. A ring he had been holding onto for longer than he wished to admit. "Will you marry me?"

Taylor breathed in and out deeply. She kept one hand gripped on Harry's hand, while the other reached for a few tiles that were strewn on the coffee table. She placed three tiles on the board and faced Harry. His eyes quickly looked at what she had put on the board and his eyes lit up.

The three letters read:

YES
