Dinner With the Fam. and, Jake?

Chapter three

After I fled the scene earlier. I went to Cacey's room to tell her.

When I got there she was hanging posters. "Wow Cace team Jacob or team Edward ?"

"Jacob, duh."

I high fived her and she got down from her bed and asked "What brings you to my fortress?"

"Well I sorta found my mate."

"WHAT!" she screamed.

"yea". "Who is it ?"

"Promise not to say anything." "ok I promise.". "It's Cole."

I braced myself for her reaction. "That's great Soph !" "really". "yea"

We spent the rest of the afternoon talking till mom called for dinner.

I ran into Cole coming out of the bathroom. Then I was saved by the bell,literally. "Sophie, can you get the door?" Thank God "Sure mom."

I headed downstairs and opened the door. "Hey babe" I gulped "Jake uh hi." All of a sudden Cole comes up behind me and says "Babe?" Crap! "Um Jake this is Cole, Cacey's brother.

"Hey man I'm Jake" "Hi" Cole said holding back a growl. "kids dinner" I walked to the dining room with Jake, Cole, and Cacey trailing behind.

After dinner we were all playing truth or dare in the living room. "Sophie truth or dare?" asked mom.

"Dare". "I dare you to.....tell us a secret." "ok I secretly have a spot I go to run at night noone else has ever been.". "Ok you kids have fun we are going to bed." said dad

"Wait dad I have to talk to you guys about something." I said nervously.

"What is it honey?". "Is something wrong?". "No" "Then what is it hun?"

"I um kinda sorta um ....found my mate." "What that's great honey" they said but I had my eyes on Jake. He smiled at me and said" It was bound to happen sometime right." "Jake I-" "No, Soph it's ok be with your mate. Be happy." " thankyou" i said as I walked him to the door. He smiled then left.

"Well" said dad when I came back in the room "what?" "who's your mate hun?" asked mom. "O well um.,." "A boy from school." Cacey lied smoothly. "Do we know him?" mom asked "No mom he's , um new." "k night kids."

"You know I think I'm gonna get some sleep too" Cacey said I gave her an expression saying ,don't leave me. But, she smiled and said "night."

When I started to get up only to be stopped by Cole.

Cole's Pov.

"Sophie wait."I said getting up and following her to her room.

She turned and looked up at me then said "Look if you're going to reject me do it now and get it over with.".

"What? No Sophie I-"

I was stopped when she kissed me. I picked her up and she put her arms around my neck and her legs went around my waist. When we finally broke apart, she said exactly what I wanted her to. "Claim me" And so I did.
