Game: The Start

The world is spinning and all that I can see is the glowing floating icons hovering above each person's head.

[W-what the hell is going on?!]

The day starts with the shrill of the alarm clock. A hand suddenly came out under the pile of warm blankets to turn off the annoying object. Humanoid outline can be seen wriggling under the bed covers and suddenly a head peek out, followed by its body.

The teen let out a big yawn and sleepily walk into the bathroom.

The teen has shoulder length raven hair framing her face. She has bewitching caramel eyes peeking out under the long eyelashes and a soft heart shape lips; the teen also has a pale complexion that complements her slender body. She also stands on an average height among her year group and all in all, one can say that she is a beauty that can be hone throughout the years.

Staring at the mirror, she stared at her reflection blinking and immediately did a double take.
There hovering just above her head is a familiar glowing floating icon

Slapping herself to make sure she's awake, she gape unattractively at her reflection.

[I'm just seeing things...I'm just seeing things]

Kay murmured to herself in denial.

It's just a trick of light. I'm just really seeing things. Probably I'm playing games too much...

Climbing down the stairs, she sought her mother and upon seeing her, her jaw drop.

There, hovering just above her mother's head is another floating glowing icon.

[M-mom?]

[Oh, hey Honey! How's your sleep?]

Her mother ask while cooking breakfast.

[ It's fine...]

Kay answered, still staring at the floating icon above her mother's head.

Staring at her daughter quizzically, she shakes her head in amusement.

[Why don't you take a seat dear and have a breakfast]

[S-sure...]

Hesitantly, she joined on the dining table.

Watching her mother place a plate in front of her, she ask

[Mom...are you---]

[Hmm...?]

[Nothing mom...ah-I'm just gonna go change my clothes]

She suddenly said and immediately rushes towards her room.

Shaking her head in amusement, Mercedes watch her daughter rush upstairs.

[That girl...honestly]

She said fondly while resuming what she's doing.

Suddenly, thundering sounds can be heard and Kay arrived panting.

[Ha...ha...ha...mom?]

[Yes, Honey?]

[I'm just gonna go outside!]

[Eat something first!]

Halting her movement, she reluctantly edged away from the door. Feeling her mother's pointed looks on herself, she immediately grab a slice of toasted bread and spread some strawberry jam on it.

Eating it quickly, she almost choke in hurrying if not for the glass of water her mother immediately gave to her.

[Just eat slowly, honestly!]

Her mother scolded, while patting her back as she greedily drink the water like a lifeline. Which it is, considering I almost died because of choking...

Breathing a sigh of relief, she bid her mother goodbye and she rushes outside of the house.

Walking out of her home, she gaze at her surroundings. Seeing there's nothing amiss, she walk her way out of the neighborhood when she caught sight of an elderly lady.

Rubbing her eyes to make sure she's seeing things clearly, she let out a whining noise down her throat.

Really?! Question Marks? Is her level too high for me to see or something...Well I'm level 14 so it's understanda... Not-- what the hell am I thinking?! I'm seriously considering this?!

Shaking her head to chase away her thoughts, she resolutely ignore which she's terribly failing the things she's seeing and set her way out of the subdivision.

Kay Matin sigh in relief as the bus finally arrived. She quickly disembark from the vehicle and immediately made her way to the foot bridge. While crossing it, she can't help but stare at the crowd below her.
Suddenly, the world is spinning and all that she can see is the glowing floating icons hovering above each person's head.

[W-what the hell is going on?!]

She exclaimed in a loud voice in the middle of the bridge with a lot of passersby.

Everyone look in surprised at a pretty girl who suddenly shout.

[Teenagers these days...]

An elderly said while shaking his head in dismay.

A twitch can be seen from the girl as she heard this.

[I didn't know that city girls are that unstable. A shame for a beauty ]

A man from a province muttered making the girl twitch again and pop a vein in her forehead.

[Mom, what is she doing?]

[Sshh! Don't look and don't point]

A mother quickly averted her gaze while hurriedly taking away her son from the girl's vicinity while her son pointed at the hysterical girl.

A proverbial arrow pierce the girl, instantly killing her in embarrassment. Trying to salvage her dignity she quickly get away from the place.
