Avery open the door to James standing up against the wall with his leg propping him up.
"About damn time Av...."
Avery just stuck her tongue out at James and walked in to her bedroom. She sat her towel down on her bed and walked over to the little vanity mirror her mother got her for her birthday last year. Avery never wore make up, but today was the first day of school so she at least wanted to put some makeup on.
"Hopefully hours of YouTube tutorials have paid off..." Avery said no louder than a whisper.
Once she was satisfied she walked downstairs to grab a yogurt and a banana for breakfast. James already was downstairs.
"Av, you took so long I was about to call Nick to come get me."
Avery was reminded of her Twin brothers best friend Nick Faulkner. He was nothing but the nicest sweetest boy to Avery and her family.
"EARTH TO AVERY." James slightly raised his voice. She looked over to the clock on the stove and saw it was almost 8:30 and first bell rang at 9:10.
"Crap, let's go James."
Avery had her license. Her parents got her and James a car to share. But James always said "I don't need a car. My younger sis got me." James never failed to remind Avery, and everyone else for that matter, that he was 8 minutes older.
James gets in the passenger side of the '01 Toyota Corrolla and Avery gets in, turns the car on.
"The is my jam Av!!" As "Back To Back" by drake came on and James turned it up. And they were off for their first day of senior year..
