Luka POV

My name is Luka I am 15 years old and I live in the forest in a small cottage with my mother. We were in the town today to get some food we each split up to gather the things, my mother told me to get:

Bread

Eggs

Carrots

So I went to the small stand which sold the bread I bought it and set it in my basket, and walked looking for the other stands. I wasn't paying attention and I bumped into a man who was wearing a cloak his hood fell off and he had purple hair. He stood up and reached out his hand to help me up I grabbed it and he said," I'm sorry."

" No, no it's my fault for not paying attention." I said.

" Well see you around!" He waved and ran away.

My heart was pounding I don't know why but...

When I was in the middle of a daze I heard my mother," Luka? Luka?"

" Yes, mother?"

" Huh, what will I do with you? Did you get the stuff?"

I looked in my basket there was only bread," No, sorry."

" Well that's ok you head back home ok."

I nodded and started walking back home. When I was walking I seen a lake I haven't seen it before. Well maybe because I never go outside. But I walked down to the shore and sat down in the sand. While I was calmly relaxing I heard a voice," Hello, miss."

I turned around and there was a boy with yellow hair. " Hello." I said. He sat down next to me," Do you around here? Because no one in the town ever comes here." He said.

" Yes, I live in a cottage around here. And really no one ever comes here? But it's so nice and refreshing here." I said.

" Yeah no one. Oh before I forget my name is Len!" He reached out his hand.

" My name is Luka." I said while shaking his hand.

Len POV

I was on my way home until I saw a girl with pink hair sitting at the shore, her clothes were kind of plain looking, she was wearing a black dress. So I went up to her and said hi and we chatted for a bit. Her name was Luka. But I was still wondering why she lived in the woods, no one else does. But when I was around her I could feel my heart pound. She then asked," I was wondering why do you live here? Because no one really lives here without reason."

" Well I live here with my mother and twin sister. We live here since my sister is really sick so my mom decided that we live somewhere with fresh air but not to far from town. And umm...can you tell me why you live here to?" I said.

She began to say," I live with my mother ,and you promise not to tell what I'm about to say?"

" Promise." I say while holding my pinkie.

It was a pinkie promise, but I wonder what had to be kept secret.

" Well my father was accused of being a witch so we had to move here a bit far from town." She said.

That must be hard if your family is accused of being a witch then you can barely talk to no one. " I'm sorry." I said.

" For what? It's ok, I feel even more sorry for your sister. Can I meet her sometime?"

" Yeah, I'm sure she would like to have a friend!"

Rin can have a friend I'm sure that will make her very happy and that also means I would be able to see Luka more. I could feel my face burning I was probably blushing, I don't want Luka to see! I turned the other way and Luka said," Len is there something wrong?"

" N..no nothing's wrong. Oh would you like to meet my older twin sister?"

" Sure that sounds great!" She smiled.

I showed her the way to my cottage we walked in and I said," I'm home!"

My mother said," Welcome home."

She was folding clothes and she seen Luka," Oh my goodness, a girl!"

" No mom it's not like that she's a friend!" I said.

" OH! Well nice to meet you miss I'm Len's mother." She bowed.

Luka quickly responded," Very nice to meet you my name is Luka."

Rin walked out of the bedroom," Mother what's going on?"

Rin POV

I was sleeping then I heard talking so I went to see what was going on. And when I was in the main room there was a girl with long pink hair she was so pretty way to pretty to be Len's girlfriend. I walked up to her and said," Nice to meet you my name is Rin."

" Nice to meet you to my name is Luka."

I hope I can become her friend because I never had a friend before. My mother than said," Why don't you guys take a seat."

We all sat down on the couch my mother brought us tea and I wanted to start a conversation but I didn't know how. This was the very first time I ever talked to a girl my age." Umm..so Luka how old are you?"

" 15."

" Really! Your older than me and Len are 14."

She smiled. We chatted for a bit but then the sun began to set so my mother said," Len why don't you walk Luka home?"

" Ok!"

" Bye Luka I hope you can visit sometime again!" I said.

" Of course I will! Bye Rin!" Luka said and her and Len left.

Luka POV

Len walked me to my house and I said to him," Thank you, Len. You were the very first person who has ever really talked to me and you were also my first friend."

" Really?! Well I'm really glad. Well I'll see you later, maybe tomorrow?" He said.

" Sounds good!" I said.

" Bye Luka!" He waved.

I waved back and then walked inside, my mother was standing there she looked a bit angry," Luka why are you home so late?"

" Sorry I was talking to some friends I made."

" Friends? Luka you need to be careful, ok? Because what if our secret gets out?"

" I know. I know."

I sighed and got into my bed, why does it have to be my family accused of witchcraft? Suddenly I remembered the village the man I bumped into. My heart began to pound, for some reason I hope to see him again...
