«Mary's POV»

I leaned my head against the window of the van. After running from some girls who found all 6 of us, I was tired. The boys were arguing over who was sleeping where tonight. I closed my eyes and sighed, I should call dad later to talk to Sean. I started to fall asleep until everyone screamed at me.

"Mary!!"

I rubbed my eyes, "What?"

"Here's your new phone." Niall tossed me one which was similar to Liam's. I caught it and the case looked like pink ice cream. (image on right) "Do you like it?"

I nodded. "How are you guys so hyper all the time?" I yawned as I said it.

"Louis is the hyper one. We're just used to staying awake because of concerts." Liam said. I noticed Louis was driving again and was whispering to Zayn. Zayn looked kind of sad since yesterday. I wonder what's wrong. Liam and Niall were sitting infront of Harry and I again.

Harry said, "All of our numbers are in there already. Along with Paul's and Lou's."

"Two Lou's?" I asked confused.

Liam laughed and said, "Our make-up artist." I nodded, understanding. "Are you alright, Mary?"

"Yeah. I'm just tired." I played around with the phone a little.

----------

After we got home, Harry made some tea. We were all sitting in the living room. I was laying on the arm of the couch with Liam and Niall, while Louis was on the floor, and Zayn was in the plush chair. I had my sketch book propped up against my thighs since my legs were bent. I held a black colored pencil in my mouth while I shaded the sunset in my picture with my left hand that held my pencil.

Louis sat up off the floor and said, "I thought you were right handed."

"Both," I said with the pencil still in my mouth. I took it out and said, "I taught myself how to write and draw left handed once when I broke my right wrist. That's why I can do this." I twisted my right hand and it made a slight popping sound.

Harry came in the room and handed Niall and I a cup of tea each. I blew on it before taking a sip. Mom always made us tea when Zack, Sean, or I were sick. I sighed, feeling the warm herbal tea slide down my throat. I set it on the floor and continued to shade my picture. It was a picture of the city; I usually sit on the fire escape out my window to draw the buildings and stores. Right now, all I had to do was shade in the shadows and sidewalks.

"That's really good." Harry said from behind me.

I blushed. "Thanks."

"Hey, Mary," I looked up at Liam. "Do you have any games here to play? I'm bored playing the same games over and over on my phone."

Games, games, games. Oh! "We have Twister. It's in the closet over there." I put the pencil in my mouth, outlined the sun with the black pencil with my right hand, and pointed to the closet behind me with my left.

Liam and Niall got up to get the game. Harry went back into the kitchen after giving Louis and Zayn their cups of tea. Louis sat on the couch, getting out of the way. I put one of my legs in his lap and closed my sketch book. I opened my pencil pouch and dropped my utensils in it and zipped up the black bag. I put the book and pouch on the arm of the couch and sat up.

"Who wants to call out the colors?!" Liam asked. Everyone, including me, raised our hands except Zayn. "Fine, Zayn, you can call out the colors." He tossed the spinner to Zayn, who caught it with his right hand.

Eventually Liam and Louis got out leaving Niall, Harry, and I still on the mat. I was on my back while Niall was on his belly beside me. Harry was halfway leaning over me. When Zayn called right hand on green Harry was now leaning over my face. I put my hand on the spot next to his, and Harry was still leaning over me. Niall fell because I refused to move my leg.

I laughed and so did Harry. He said, "I bet I'll win."

"I bet you won't." I growled back.

Louis screamed, "You can do it!!"

"Who are you even rooting for, Lou?" Liam asked.

"Both of them!" He screamed back.

I lost it and started laughing. I fell on my back and Niall tripped Harry, sending him crashing on top of me. My breath escaped me and as I tried to catch it, Harry just smiled at me. When he wiggled his eyesbrows, I rolled my eyes and pushed him off of me. Zayn shoved the board into Liam's chest and said, "I'll be outside. Don't bother me unless someone's extremely hurt."

When he slammed the door I asked, "What's his problem?" I straightened my shirt and offered a hand to help Harry off the floor.

"He dumped his girlfriend a few days ago. Management made Perrie tell everyone she dumped him so we wouldn't get a bad name." Niall said.

Liam folded up the mat with Louis and Liam said, "The same thing happened with Danielle."

"Oh. I didn't know that." I made my way down the hall to my room and said, "I'll be in my room. I need to call someone real quick." And with that I opened my door and shut it behind me. I opened my window and climbed out onto the fire escape beside the apartment building. I could see a few people outside sitting on the stairs, but they were on the other side of the building.

I sat on the stairs and sighed. I have to call dad. I have to hear Sean's voice. I dialled the number into my new phone and sat there, my heart racing, knowing what was going to happen. My finger hovered over the call button for what felt like forever until I hit it. My dad eventually answered the phone and said, "Hello?"

"Hey, dad. It's me, Mary."

I drummed my fingers on my knee nervously. "What the hell do you want, bitch?"

"I want to talk to Sean, please."

I heard dad slam what sounded like a door. "He's asleep. What do you need to tell him?"

"I just wanted to tell him I love him."

"So you want to tell your baby brother you love him, but not your own father? I see how it is. After one accident, you hate me. I get it." He growled.

I sighed, "Dad, I do love you, but-"

"But what? You aren't daddy's little girl anymore. You aren't my princess. You're rotten. You're worthless to me."

I shuddered when a gust blew across my bare arms. I glanced at the window as Harry climbed out. I put my finger to my lips and he nodded. "I'm only that way because that's the way you've always treated me."

"Well, I'll tell Sean that you love him. I'll tell him you hate me, too."

"Dad! I never said tha-" The phone beeped and I looked at it. Call Disconnected.

Harry sat on the windowsill and said, "So who was that?"

I rolled my eyes at him. "The same person who absolutely hates me and Z, but loves Sean to death." I rubbed my arms and shuddered. Harry sat next to me and put his jacket around my shoulders. "Thanks." I mumbled.

"Don't mention it." I ran my tongue across my teeth nervously. They were crooked as hell, but we couldn't afford to get me braces. Maybe Louis could- No. I won't take advantage of him like that. "Dinner is ready. Everyone else is eating."

"What did you make?" I glanced up into his fresh green eyes. His eyes resembled happiness =, but seriousness at the same time.

He put an arm around my shoulders pulling me close to him and said, "Tacos, my favorite food."

I rested my head on his shoulder and said, "Do you ever get the feeling that no one loves you for who you are, so you have to hide?"

"Everyday," he chuckled in the back of his throat. "I get called cruel names from people I don't even know around the world everyday. I hate hiding from everyone, too."

I sat up and blushed, "Sorry. I forgot about the whole 'famous around the world' thing." I looked back at Harry.

Our faces were just centimeters from eachother. If one of us decided to lean towards the other, just a little, our lips would touch. His lips were plump and smiling at me. I glanced back up into his shining emerald eyes. I could get lost in thought just staring deep into his eyes.

"Let's go eat." he said. I mentally slapped myself. Next time, Mary, make the first move.
