~JJ's P.O.V~

Dad decided it was a good idea to move to this small town called Gravity Falls. I read up on it and it had I'll kinds of mysteries behind it, I was gonna tell dad but he seemed busy. Instead I just kept reading until the car stopped, closing my laptop I stepped out and we were in front of this weird shack it read 'Mystery Shack' I shrugged and we began to walk in until this girl tackled dad to the ground, "Dipper!" She yelled, then I realized. Aunt Mabel, "hey mabes, mind getting off?" She laughed and stood up helping dad with her. I giggled a bit causing her to notice me. "JJ, how've you been?" She said hugging me, I hugged back and replied, "I've been good, I was sad when you left right after Christmas". "Oh, I'm sorry things came up, but this next Christmas things'll be different. We'll have more time for fun" I smiled and hugged her again, letting go as we walked inside.

~Time Skip To Right After Dinner~

After we had dinner I cleaned up and went upstairs to my new room, my dad said he and aunt Mabel shared that room when they were about my age. I laid on my bed starring at the ceiling in wonder, "what are the mysteries of this town?.." I mumbled. "Would you really like to know?" I jumped when I heard a voice I've never heard before, when I turned around there stood a man in a yellow suit, black dress pants, an eye patch, a bow tie, cane, even a top hat. "W-who are you?" I questioned. He smirked, "oh why I'm Bill, Bill Cipher". "O-ok and why are you here?" I said kinda confused. "To give you this little Pine Tree" he said handing me a book or more like a journal with the number 1 on it. "What's this for?" "That is for you to find out, now I'll be on my way" he said and began to disappear. "Wait! What do I do if I need to talk to you again?" Catching his attention, "hmm.. Just call my name and I'll show" I nodded and he left, I went over to my bed and decided I needed sleep so I laid down and slowly drifted off knowing it'd be a long day tomorrow.
