My Star

I know you are gone,

And can't come back,

It's been so long,

I want to crack.

The days so dreadful,

And full with sorrow,

I don't want to say goodbye,

Can't you come back tomorrow?

You're my star, you see,

You guide me through life,

And set my soul free,

When it's the right time.

You tell me all the answers,

And where my heart shouldn't be,

I'm not afraid of taking chances,

Because I know you'll guide me.

I guess what I'm trying to say,

Is even though I'm blue,

You're watching me from Heaven,

And you're my star too.
