I couldn't quite understand the complexities of the human mind, because of its natural ability to be so different and stupid. I don't know if I ever will, because I am anything but human.
The Gyptdronian people, my race, hasn't been existent for as long as the humans have. We derived from them, but in some way ended up more intelligent and advanced. We have always existed to learn, to gain more knowledge and pass that knowledge on to every generation after us. That way, we continue to grow as things change.
"Kristina," Chintu said, "I need you to go to Earth. We need some more researchers on the field."
Chintu was our king, and he always has been. He has led us to gain more and to succeed, so I have been more inclined to trust his decisions, but I should be focused on my studies and becoming better than I already am. That was always the goal for him as well. He wanted us to pass all know barriers to the brain's capacity for information, but now, I suppose, that has changed.
"No disrespect, sir, but why?" I said to him.
He stayed silent for a bit, "I thought you would like an offer such as this. It seems that I was wrong, yes, Kristina?"
"No sir, I just don't quite grasp your reasoning." I said.
"Just, go. You, and two others, if you must. I just need more knowledge of the planet." He shooed me away with his hand, and I fled out the door of this study.
That was some reason to come down to the castle. I thought to myself.
I started my walk home, pondering upon whom I might bring with me, but I still had some time. I would try to use up as much of it as I could forgetting what happened just a few moments ago.
My father was asleep, which was the only time there was ever peace in the house. My mother seemed happy whenever he was doing anything but arguing and beating her relentlessly, and because of that, I started wielding weapons. It helped my courage expand into a stronger much more powerful monster than that of a small defenseless girl.
I took out a sword from my room and took it outside with me. Though my family has been through some of the most chaotic experiences, I would not dare to swing the blade inside the walls. I moved and twirled outside with the sharp metal. Its crisp noise whenever I swung fast enough through the air was like music, but music doesn't always end very happily.
A clatter came from inside the house. I looked up from my majestic dance of the invisible people's rain of blood to see from the window, my father had awoken.
My mother was backed into a corner, with my father snarling at her like a rabid wolf. She looked to me, and turned her eyes to the stairs, but he seen the slight gesture.
"What is it, Abbithina? Is something the matter?" His voice was tauntingly sympathetic, and he smiled as he said it, to make it worse than anything already was, but he turned around to see me, and became more satanic.
"Kristina, well, isn't it a lovely day?" He asked.
"I suppose so, Allen, but it would be better if you could be more polite." I said.
His insane smile went sour, as he raised his hand at me, and I was prepared for whatever he had coming for me. My mom gasped.
"Allen, please don't. Don't hurt her." She said.
"I won't hurt her. She just needs to learn how to respect her elders." He turned to tell her.
I seen my opportunity and took it. I raised my sword above my head and slashed it across his chest. It didn't puncture because of his think skin, but it gave him a well enough shock of pain to make him disoriented.
