For once, Magnus hope that he wouldn't meet another god as he waited for his Falafel.
He, Sam, Blitzen, and Hearthstone had been traveling for a while and decided to get some free Falafel since he knew the owners of the little shop.
"Hey, kid." Blitzen poked his shoulder. "You alright?"
Magnus shook his head as he realized he had been spacing out. "I'm fine. I was just thinking about something. Would suck if we met another god right now."
"Knowing you, you'd jinx us." Sam snorted fixing her hjiab.
Hearthstone moved his arms in a sign that meant either go on or move forward.
Magnus guessed it was the latter since it was his turn for Falafel. He taped with the owner's son, the man had been out at the time, and still scored free food. His little group walked to a table and sat down utterly exhausted.
A pigeon, just under the table they sat at, opened its beak as of to speak when someone cleared their throat softly (if someone can even do that). The pigeon was about to fly up and peck the living day lights out of the mortal when he saw who it was. He made a undignified squawk and flew away.
Magnus sighed and turned around raising an eyebrow at the teenager. He had perfectly smooth tan skin that looked like it was kissed by the sun. His hair was a tossled black mess as if he hadn't heard of a brush before. His eyes were a glittering sea-green that shone with mischief and a hint of hidden wisdom. "You're not a god are you?" Somehow, Magnus knew that wasn't the case. He could still hope though.
"I'm afraid I am." The teenager gave a small smile, the corners of his mouth rising as if he were afraid to do anything more. He seemed unsure with what to do with himself. Finally, he spoke again, "I'm here to help you delay Ragnarok."
