Chapter 1

I slip on a pink polka dot bikini, jean shorts, flip flops, and a crop top that shows off my stomach pretty well. I open my curtains and let the sun shine into my room. Glancing in the framed mirror on my purple walls, I fix my long brown hair and skip to the kitchen. I grab my duffel bag full of clothes, toiletries, and other stuff you might need for a vacation to the beach. It's the first day of summer; real summer. Not stuck in school and staring dreamily out the windows wondering what you could be doing. School is over, and it's time to go to the beach and have a hell of a time with my best friends. Sauntering out of the house, I kiss my puppy Max on the head and call out to my two younger sisters and my mom. "Guys, I'm leaving now!" Alli and Jessi come running and practically tackle me to the ground with bear hugs. "Bye Chrissy! We'll miss you!" Jessi says and goes back to playing on her iPod. "Be careful, okay?" My protective sibling Alli smiles and hugs me again. She's only a year and a half younger than me, but sometimes it seems like she's the older one. My mom walks over to me and pulls me into a hug. "Don't talk to strangers, don't get drunk, just-" I interrupt her and look her in the eyes. "Mom, I'll be fine. I promise. You know I'm responsible." I say and hug her tight once more. Then I pick up my bag, slide a pair of sunglasses on, and yell as I'm running out of the house, "See you in July!"

Chapter 2

My blue Subaru is parked outside of Elena Donovan's humungous house. She's one of my best (and richest) friends. But she's always late. I honk my horn and scream, "Elena! Let's go! I still have to pick up Adrianna!" Elena comes bounding out of her house carrying a huge bag with clothes still falling out of it. Her long, jet black hair is pulled back in a ponytail and she's wearing a black bikini with a green tank top and shorts over it. "I'm here, I'm here, calm down Christina." She grumbles as she opens the passenger door and chucks her bag into the back seat. Elena is incredibly short; but I guess I'm not one to talk because I'm 5'8" and a half. I smile and hug her, then put my car in reverse. "I can't wait until we get to the beach house. It's probably amazing!" The excitement flowing through my veins makes me jumpy. "Oh trust me, it is. There's six bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms, a family room with a flat screen TV and wrap-around couch, a kitchen, and a lounge with a pool table, ping pong table, stereo, and a couch. And the best part is, we can walk to the beach anytime we want." Elena gabbles. It would be an easy hour and a half drive to Ocean City with her in the car. We pull into Adrianna Kaltres's driveway and Elena climbs through the sun roof screaming, "Adrianna! Get your butt out here!" Adrianna struts out of her house wearing a denim mini skirt, a blue belly shirt, and a blue bikini. Her medium sized duffel bag is thrown casually over her shoulder and she flips her long, extremely light blonde hair over her shoulder. As she climbs into the car, she takes off her sunglasses revealing her piercing blue eyes. "Hey hoes." She smiles and hugs Elena and I. Adrianna is the badass out of the three of us. She'll probably try anything once, and is definitely not afraid to stand up for herself or for her beliefs. Elena is like Adrianna, except not as wild. She's weird in public, which is what I like about her. She isn't scared to be herself around anybody. Me? I'm the one who occasionally joins in on the crazy stuff, but would rather stay out ofings like drugs or alcohol. But not this summer. This summer I'm going all out, and never looking back.

Chapter 3

It's 1:00 in the afternoon once we make it to Elena's beach house. This place is so much freaking larger than what she described it as! The kitchen is stock full of food, and all of the beds are freshly made. It's absolutely gorgeous and I keep thinking that we have it all to ourselves for a whole month. Squealing, we all run to different rooms and throw our stuff onto the king size beds. "Guys, lets go to the lounge!" Adrianna says and grabs Elena and I out of our rooms. An ecstatic smile is plastered on my face as Elena blasts the stereo and Nicki Minaj blares through the surround sound speakers. We sing at the top of our lungs and jump on the couch, not caring at all that we look like complete idiots. "Starships are meant to flyy!" Adrianna screams. "Hands up, and touch the skyy!" I yell. "Let's do this one last time!" Elena belts out. All together we shout, "WE'RE HIGHER THAN A MOTH--" The music stops abruptly, and we all pause annoyed that our party was interrupted. "What the heck is wrong with the stereo?" Elena says angrily. All three of us walk to the stereo system and I nearly die when I see three super attractive guys our age standing next to it. For a second everyone stares at each other. I'm eyeing the blonde standing in the middle. He's super tall; taller than me. And his eyes are an amazing shade of green. Most of all you can see his toned arms and stomach through his shirt. Elena's mouth is open in a huge 'O' and my lips make the same shape when she breaks the silence and says, "Christian? What the hell are you doing here?" Christian's eyes look away from mine to Elena's and jealousy courses through my veins. "Elena, who are these guys?" I whisper to her. Elena sighs and crosses her arms, clearly aggravated at our "guests". "Christina, meet my cousin Christian and his two friends Jared and Matt." Thank god Elena and Christian are related. I might have died if they weren't. She points to a tall brunette who can't keep his eyes off of Adrianna; I'm guessing that ones Jared. Then she gestures to Matt, who has dirty blonde hair and is shorter than the other two boys but still tall and muscular. Matt is practically drooling over Elena, but I don't think she notices. "Um...what are you guys doing here?" Christian asks looking at all three of us. "I think the real question is what are you doing here? We're staying here until the middle of July." Adrianna counters, standing her ground. She was always the brave one. Jared smiles specifically to Adrianna and says, "We're staying here until the middle of July, too. Christians's parents own the place." I roll my eyes at him. "Actually, Elena's parents own the place. That's why she has a key." I say trying to be bold, but it sounds more like I'm stating a fact. Elena looks at the floor and puts her hands behind her back; something she only does when she's caught. "Elena..." Adrianna says noticing the odd behavior. Elena looks up at us and spurts out, "Well...actually my dad shares this beach house with his brother, Christian's dad...but I didn't think that mattered! I thought we were going to be the only people using it this summer!" I groan and face-palm myself. Well this is fantastic! I thought this summer would be just my two best friends and I sharing a house all alone together but now it's ruined. "Well how is this working out? Obviously three of us have to leave. We can't all share this house." Matt says. Adrianna looks around the room, inspecting everyone's faces. Then a slow smile creeps onto her face, and it's not any smile. It's her mischievous I have a plan smile. "Adrianna..." I say with a weird tone in my voice. "You have an idea." Elena says it more like a statement than a question. Matt, Christian, and Jared all look at each other. "Well...what if we all stayed here...together?" My jaw drops and in my head I'm thinking absolutely not, never happening. But then a little voice pops up in the back of my mind that says well...you said you were going all out this summer. Remembering my vow, I smile brightly and my heart pounds in its chest. "That's perfect! There are six rooms, one for each of us and we'll just stay out of each other's way during the day." I say and clap my hands together. Elena's mouth is pulled to the side, like she's thinking. She mutters, "This actually might work..." Adrianna and I smile and beg, "Please??" Elena gives up and exclaims, "Oh, what the hell!" I tackle her into a hug and the guys stand there awkwardly. "I guess that would work. But we call the surf boards." I don't even surf, so it doesn't matter to me, but Adrianna does so she's pissed. "Whatever." She says hiding a smile and stalks up the stairs into the kitchen. Elena and I follow her suit. Together we sit on the marble counter and giggle. "Holy crap, Jared is so hot. I mean when I saw him I almost freaked out!" Adrianna whispers and smiles. "You can have Jared, but Christian is all mine. His eyes are so gorgeous and I swear he was checking me out!" I whisper-yell, looking over my shoulder to make sure they aren't eavesdropping. Adrianna and I look at Elena expectantly, waiting for her to comment on Matt. But she just sits there avoiding our eager glances. "What?" She says, trying to fight a smile. I break out laughing and say a little loudly, "Oh come on! Matt was totally drooling over you!" Elena shushes me urgently and play slaps me on the arm. "Fine he's so freaking hot!" She blurts out. We all laugh together and decide to head down to the beach. The three of us bound up the stairs to the top floor and go to our rooms. I pack sunscreen, a towel, a blow up beach ball, sunglasses, a hair band, and a short dress cover-up into a beach bag. I meet Adrianna and Elena in the living room and we race to the water. There's a lot of people there, including tan shirtless guys surfing. We spread our towels a safe distance from the water and step onto the we sand. The sun is shining bright in the sky and the water feels so nice compared to the heat. Adrianna, Elena, and I dash into the water and splash each other screaming. We've learned to ignore looks of creeped out people and we just spend the entire day acting like weirdos and bouncing the beach ball around in the water. After 3 hours of swimming and tanning, we decide to head back to the beach house. Even though I loaded my skin with sunscreen I still got sunburn but whatever. It'll peel off later. Before we enter the house, we wash off the sand and salty water in the outdoor shower. I'm toweling off my hair and waiting for Adrianna and Elena to dry theirs when I hear laughing coming from inside of the house. I poke my friends and we stay silent, listening to the boys talking. The window to the lounge is right by the porch, so we can hear everything they're saying. "...so I told him to calm down and get a life!" Jared was saying. The three of them laughed and continued playing their pool game. "Man, those girls are hot. I can't believe we're sharing a house with them." Matt says dreamily. Christian just laughs and they start talking about some crazy New Years party. Adrianna, Elena, and I laugh as we walk into the house, whispering about how Matt thought we were hot. I wish Christian would've agreed or said something else other than just laugh. Well, we still have a month to change their minds. Chapter 4
