Chapter 1: "Hi :)"

~Jian is the teen in this story. He had gone so much to find the true meaning of love for him but the problem is... he never really liked talking to girls especially when it comes to making friends. All his life, girls were not his most closest of friends. He was always too shy to socialize with them. Mostly because he lacked the confidence and the manly-ness to look appealing.

But all that changed when he decided to try out an application called "Lets Chat!". Most of his vacation was spent on practicing on how to talk to girls. Accidentally, he almost had a relationship with 4 different girls from 4 different countries. Now thats a feat to brag about! He learned the ropes quite easily and had a rapid change in the number of "girl" friends that he has. From a quiet 24 "girl" friends to a whopping 100 "girl" friends. All he did was type a simple "Hi" and then BAM, he gets to know the girl with ease. A little bit of charmspeak there and a little bit of flirting and ta-da! You got yourself a close friend within hours.

Everything was going pretty well, whoever girl he wanted to meet, he just begins to type a few words of greetings and he would ultimately win their heart. Until one day he met his greatest challenge ever to enter his lifetime (That's in his lovelife of course, not his actually "whole" life). And the name of that girl is Pretzel. Not the most unique of names but it would have to do. Apparently he messaged Pretzel because he saw her name in the Board of Announcements where the Sectionings were posted. Funny thing is, there were alot of girls in their section, so Jian was gonna have a splendid time knowing them all... starting with Pretzel.

Like all of his former friends, he started of with a simple "Hi :)" to begin with. Pretzel wasn't sure at first if she was going to reply because when she checked his profile pic, (Ew) she saw a teenage boy, tall, caramel brown skin, his one eye kind of lowered a bit (maybe just because he didn't have enough sleep hahaha) wearing a white long sleeve shirt, a silver watch and black pants.
He looked like one of those teens who would instantly get a Girlfriend and then dump them off next day. But after all her thoughts had settled down inside her head, she replied with a "Hello". Jian was finally awaken after 4 hours, because he messaged her at 6 AM (for crying out loud, it was so early!), and she replied at 10 AM, her standard waking time. He began to know about her from from her former sections to finding out if she knew anyone from our present section. Of course, Jian's plan was to win her heart first by simply chatting her online. The good 'ol "I'll chat you everyday" tactic was his plan of action.

Back to the present time, school started that day. Jian was back to his old school wherein he has been studying there for 11 years now (Wow, he's gotta be feeling bored by now). Using his old backpack from Grade 9, a fresh set of school supplies including 2 pads of Intermediate Papers, 2 pads of Crosswise Papers, 2 Pads of Lengthwise Papers, and 2 pads of 1/4 sheet of Papers (Seriously, whats with the pairs of pads?). Let's not forget his trusty ballpens (not), even though they're just going to last a few days before they go missing because of high school students (tsk tsk tsk).

A group of unfamiliar boys are the first thing that caught Jian's eyes. He saw some familiar faces, some from Grade School, some from Grade 7, some from Grade 8, and just one from Grade 9. They all took the seats at the back (dangit!), so he was forced to sit up front. There he met his former buddy Lan from Grade School (which of course, is just the other building located at the other side), quite the englishman if he may say. He's very fluent in speaking in English so Jian said that he's gonna have a fun English Speaking experience for the rest of the year. After Lan, he met Ryder. A former friend of his from Grade 8. He was kind of a douchebag before (no offense) because he would always tease Jian about his former flame when she is around the vicinity of Jian. But overall he isn't that kind of a bad friend. He may look a bit nerdy because of his glasses but mark my words, he is a clever man. Don't ever test your intellect against him because he would use his knowledge to demoralize your inner bad intentions.

The first day wasn't really that bad, it can't be helped that he doesn't recognize or know everyone in class. In fact, there was a misconception on the sectioning. Jian wasn't supposed to be there because the class was about Cooking. He wanted the track about Electronics and Tech, not cooking food and preparing meals. He then remembered the last day of Grade 9, where they were given instructions to put their most desired Track at the top and the least favorite at the bottom. Unfortunately, Jian and his former buddies Ervin and Regi got the instructions upside down so they accidentally picked their most least-favorite Tracks. Still shocked by the events, he wanted to go home and just regret everything that he did. All his preparations like his colored cover for his books, stitched for his notebooks and all that for the new school year and it fell into utter despair. He was about to make up his mind but then he remembered Pretzel... the one girl he wanted to meet and know more about. He couldn't just leave that class and move to another because he saw potential in that section... something he only saw in Grade 9 when the school year was about to end. He quickly made up his mind and gave this section a chance... for an awesome school year... and for Pretzel.
