"God help you if you are an ugly girl, 'course too pretty is also your doom, 'cause everyone harbors a secret hatred for the prettiest girl in the room." - Ani Difranco
Prologue
Imagine it's your first day of senior year, you slouch down in your seat right in the front row, which is stereotypically where all the geeks and smart asses sat.
You eye the people around to you, a 'charming' nerd who picks his nose whilst wearing a Star Wars graphic tee, and a nice but mute Asian who you vaguely remember from last year's history class. You sigh and wish you sat in the very back row so you could eye the gorgeous back of Jordan Connors, with his electric blue eyes and his extremely hot and a to swoon for body, the whole female population of posh boarding school Crushwood Secondary College plus a couple of gays ,lust for Jacob Connors. Who wouldn't ? He was practically some sort of highly worshipped god!
Just as you're making plans about your future with Jordan Connors although his yet to learn your name, the most breathtaking girl enters the room. She has wide brown eyes , a cute button nose, and heart shaped lips, along with perfectly tan long model thin legs. She seemed to be emitting some sort of glow that attracted the eyes of the whole class, Jordan Connors included.
She turns around to face the grumpy English teacher , who even emits a rare smile at her presence.
"My name's Sally Pierce, I just transferred here from Seaview."
She says this with such an of air confidence that the whole room goes silent.
She scans around the room for an empty seat, the backrow or middle? The cheerleaders or hipsters? The wannabees or jocks? Or maybe the emos? Instead her eyes land on the seat right next to yours, and literally struts her way over like a runway model. The whole class is simply shocked as she chooses the Misfit&Geek row.
She smiles at you flashing a set of pearly white teeth. Her confidence rubs on you and you smile back. Suddenly you have a feeling you might be her new best friend.
Sure enough you're right.
Author's Note:
So sorry if you find this story awfully cliche. I promise you it's not one of those bad boy falls for geek. Incase you find my second person narration incredibly confusing, the rest of the book will be in Sally's POV.
This whole epilogue will make more sense when you read further :)
