The day flew passed quickly, and I couldn't get Ted out of my mind.

I stopped by my locker after the last lesson of school to put back my shower items. Just as I was about to close the locker, something inside it caught my attention. There was a brown envelope, and I was sure as hell I wasn't the one who put it there.

Hurriedly I tore open the envelope, and to my horror, it was pictures of me having Magick practice with my Nana in our house. A string of profanities was forming in my brain.

Our practice was secret, we being the witches are supposed to be a secret as well, because the bad ones are hunting us. How did anyone even manage to get these pictures?! No one knew my locker combination too.

There was a note in the envelope as well. "See me at your locker tomorrow, unless you want your secret to be leaked out."

"What the hell... Stupid psycho," I muttered.

"What psycho?"

I turned around. Ted stood behind me, and he stood really, REALLY, close. So close I could smell his usual cologne. My heart twisted at the familiar smell.

Lord. I beg you. Just take me away now.

"Oh! Hi. Didn't see you there. No it's nothing, just.. Some weird guy." I stuttered, still shocked that this is the first time we are standing so close to each other ever since we broke up.

"Huh? What guy?" He asked, a cute puzzled expression forming on his face.

"No, really it's nothing. Just some guy who shoved me random notes into my locker and asked me out, it was lame." I quickly explained. Why is he even talking to me now recently? It was strange.

"He asked you out? Who?" Ted asked, and suddenly his face hardened.

"TED!!! THERE YOU ARE!" Sasha boomed from the corridor, now approaching my locker.

Sasha. Always the spoiler.

"Who?" Ted demanded once more.

"I don't know, why do you care?" I asked, feeling irritated by the questions Ted was asking. What's this, a Q&A session?

Ted lowered his head and replied firmly, "Don't you go out with him."

What?! So now he wants the best of both worlds or something? He was the one who stopped loving first!

"We broke up Ted, I no longer need to account to you anything. Go back to Sasha and leave me alone," I hissed, then closed my locker shut before escaping Sasha and Ted to home a.s.a.p., knowing Sasha would purposely grind herself on him in front of me.

Once I reached home, I threw myself to bed and sighed. Now that Nana's gone, there was no one to help me deal with all these witchy dramas. Dad doesn't know anything about Magick, because he didn't have it in him. Mum has been working overseas for the past ten years.

No one is there to help me again, I realized.

Just as tears were about to spill, the doorbell rang. I quickly wiped my tears away and looked at my watch. Strange, Dad never ends work at 4pm, kinda too early. Who could it be?

I exited my room to the front door to look through the peephole.

Holy cow. They were witches standing outside my door. I don't remember Nana mentioning that there were other witches in town. Her last words were,"Be careful who you trust, trust only your instinct."

So, who were they..? And what do they want from me?
