Spyro came to a halt. His wings spread open like a parachute and left him adrift in the air. His pupils widened at such a magnificent sight.

A bedraggled river zig-zagged across the horizon and puny fireflies were scattered across the bank, dancing in the glistening moonlight. The wind skimmed the autumn trees making them rustle in an unsettling way. The chirping sounds of crickets filled the air as the celestial moons microscopically parted from one another. Spyro took a deep breath and closed his eyes, appreciating the nature that surrounded him.

A mysterious sound echoed in the distance. Spyro could hear powerful wings beating the air and claws grinding against each other. Spyro soared the skies, thoroughly checking the area. Spyro landed roughly on the bank of the river. Setting his sights on four mysterious silhouettes. One appeared to be an over muscular dragon talking to three identical apes.

The apes were banished ages ago.

Spyro sneakily proceeded to hide in a nearby brush. The dragon turned around, his Amber gaze staring directly at Spyro. Spyro stiffened. The chirps of the crickets fell silent, all that could be heard was the sound of heavy breathing and devious chuckles.

"Tell him that once they've gained my trust I'll be able to take him down and claim a trustworthy place in the Dragon Temple." a voice chuckled.

Spyro's heart was drumming inside his chest like it was trying to escape the clutches of his ribcage. Heat throbbed through his veins causing sweat to gather in his paws. Take who down?

"I need to get a closer look." Spyro persisted. He unleashed a short burst of Dragon Time which allowed Spyro to quickly hide nearer to where the dragon was situated but the dragon managed to pick up an unbalance in the temporal barriers.

"Someone is here." His menacing gaze scanned the area. The apes looked around uneasily. The voice continued "I'll meet you guys here at the next full moon." The apes nodded and jumped back into the safety of the trees, Spyro examined where the apes were headed too, to caught up in watching the apes he didn't realise the dragon sneak off abruptly a roar of anger unleashed from Spyro's left side, turning to his left he could see a faint light of blue emerging from behind the trees. Spyro frantically unleashed a powerful fire blast to counter what he assumed was ice. The two elemental attacks met forcefully causing a tremendous explosion that sent Spyro colliding with the ground.

"You pathetic purple dragon..." Boreas laughed. Strolling out of the dust he continued "Can't take a blast." Ice developed below his bulky paws. His muscles expanded with each powerful strode he took forcing his claws to unsheathe.

"Boreas!" Spyro struggled. "It was you!" Anger pulsed around Spyro's body, swallowing him up in its manipulative power. Spyro's eyes sharpened and his mouth slowly drew open to expose a green mystifying ball that expanded every second. Spyro unleashed a sequence of earth bullets, all hurling themselves at Boreas. A cry of agony escaped from Boreas's mouth. Boreas flew out of the cloak of dust already preparing a deadly ice blast. The ice blast expanded to becoming a freezing hell. Spyro swiftly avoided the attack. The surrounding area was dressed in frost and ice. Spyro felt nips of electricity escaping from his body. He surrendered to it's static and let the power engulf him. The nips of electricity grew into punctures, before Spyro knew it electricity darted out of him launching themselves at Boreas. Boreas screeched in pain. Why isn't he dodging it? Spyro thought to himself. The electricity left scars all over Boreas's body and electricity still flickered around him.

"I've had enough of you!" Boreas screamed. He unsheathed his claws grinding them on the unsaturated soil - ready to pounce. He stretched his wings flapping them lightly. He jumped of the ground and grabbed Spyro, pinning him to the ground.
