Chapter 36 - Discovery

*Niall's POV*
We sat out in the garden sipping drinks.
"So what do you want to do now?" Harry asked us.
"What about a swim ?" Liam suggested.
Everyone agreed apart from Charlie who was very quiet.

We all went up to get changed.
I got changed but when I went to see if Charlie was she said "not yet you go ahead I'll be down in a bit"

I tried to argue but I knew it was useless. Charlie was acting really weirdly and I didn't like it.

I went down to the pool area where the others are "where's Charlie, mate?" Liam asked me.
"She's in the room, she'll be down in a bit." I replied.

Then Davina's phone pinged. "It's Charlotte" Davina said worriedly.

"I'll go" I said. Davina tried to stop me but I ran quickly out the pool area and up to our rooms.

"Charlie" I said knocking on the door "can I come in baby?"

She didn't answer. That's when I realised the door wasn't shut properly. I went in.

Charlie was curled up in a ball crying. I walked to her slowly. "Baby it's okay I'm here what's wrong?" I asked.

"It hurts so so much" she managed to say with tears running down her face.

"What does what does?" I was really concerned.

"M-my l-left f-foot" she stammered.

"Let me have a look babe" I said moving closer.

"No!" Charlie replied moving away. "I have to tell you something first"

And so she did. And was amazed at her determination to keep going.

She told me she was born with a club foot and how if she was born today it would have been treated differently and she wouldn't have the problems she had now if she had. She showed me her scars and said "you probably think I'm ugly now."

I grabbed her hands " don't you dare say you are and always will be beautiful to me I love you Charlie so so much." I said kissing her on the cheek.

" I love you too Niall, so so so much" she whispered.
