The story is part of a Christian novel I am writing under the title Stronghold. As the name implies, the novel and the story feature lots of angel/demon action. It also has historical detail, romance, and some great characters.

A word about characters
Characters represent what we observe in ourselves and in others. Each character in my writing contains aspects of me and of those I know, love, or may have noticed somewhere, on a train, standing in line at the store, anywhere. Characters are part of a writer's repertoire of experience. However, my attention to making changes that mask the resemblance of the characters in this fictional work to persons, living or dead, makes such a resemblance accidental and improbable.
