Prologue
I sat on the small bench, I can hear the birds chirp around the sky, I can see the leaves falling down due to the season, winds silently whispering, my mind was no where to be found, I kept at staring at the rose that was on my hand, my hand that was full of scratches due to the spikey thorn that it has. I was lost on my mind, my feelings towards him was... was unbearable. I felt my eyes started to water because of the memory that clicked on my mind, I lost him. I never knew this would come into my life, maybe they were right, too much happiness may draw to unexpected tradegies. I blame myself. Why was I so stupid before.
Tears started rolling down my face, looking at him, his face was full of hatred towards me, this is all my fault.
"I can explain!" I begged him one more time, grabbing his arm and tried to look him in the eye, his eyes were dark red due to the angriness inside of him, he took large puffs.
"Explain? Look at you!" He shouted towards me, his height towering over me, making me weak. "You're bruised! Cass, I know I'll be there for you. But if you didn't fought with him this wouldn't happen!"
I felt a pang of pain inside my heart, "Well if it wasn't for me you wouldn't die!" I shouted, more tears streaming down my face, not bothering to wipe it away. He shook his head, not agreeing, he tried to smash his fist on the wall.
I closed my eyes, making the flashback stop, tears burst then, looking down at the rose, I covered my mouth, trying hard not to spill sobs. I shook my head, I would take the risk to die for him.
"I know! But look at you! I don't want you seeing hurt, even crying." he whispered, I could also feel the pain inside him. I just sighed deeply, he took a seat, I leaning on the wall. I saw him stressfully rub his temples.
I can't stop but to sob, I sat down on the floor, still leaning on the wall, I bobbed my head back, tears more spilling from my eyes. "He warned me..." I say, making him hear, the turned his head towards my direction, his eyes were confused.
"Warned you what?" he rudely spats, I bravely wiped my tears, looking at him straight in the eye.
I took a deep sigh, shaking my head, I started peeling the petals of the rose.
He loves me.
He loves me not.
"He warned me if I would'nt take the deal..." I whispered, I didn't want to bring the topic up, I felt like I was so weak right now. I didn't continue the sentece, shaking my head. "God, I hate my life." I covered my face with my bare palms, sobbing.
"Warned you what?" He asks again, his voice rising agrily, "tell me." He stands up, walking towards me.
"If I would'nt take the deal he would kill my family," I cried loudly, standing up, I took his hand, looking him in the eye, "Even you." I whispered. I felt his eyes soften a bit, he shook his head, disapproving.
He turned around furiously, "I don't want him to take you away." He deeply growled, I was afraid.
"And I don't want you to die." I took his shoulders and span him around.
I tried to close my eyes and make my flashback stop, but it wouldn't.
"Where are you going?" I panickly asked, seeing him grab his coat.
"I'm going to fix things up." He replies.
I tried to grab his hand. "No, please, no." I gave him a pleasing look, he shook his head. "stay." I whispered.
He continued putting on his coat, "I can't." he growled.
"Promise you will be back." I hugged him, nudging my head on his chest.
"I promise." He breathed out kissing my forehead, "I love you."
"I love you too."
And that was it.
After that,
he disappeared.
