Sometimes in the darkest places, you'll find the brightest lights.

I was pissed. They hadn't let me visit my brother and sister. They had the nerve. Couldn't they see that i changed?

Instead of driving there, i decided to walk and cool off. The hill was finally settling into sight and the sun was falling down slowly. It was 7:30 pm, way earlier than i usually came.

As i was sneaking into the entrance of my hideout, i hear sobbing. Alert, i hide myself behind a plump tree.

I peak around the tree to find a girl at the edge of the hill. My first thought was suicide but then she could also be checking out the sweet view. I wait here just in case but i know that my first thought was correct.

She looks around, making me duck behind the tree once again. With one last sigh, she pulls her leg up and over the hill.

I burst out a couple profanities while letting my athletic instincts kick in. I ran towards her as quickly as i could and just in time, grabbed her waist. We both fell to the floor but i took my time to switch our positions.

I braced for impact as my back bounced off the ground. My first thought was to ask her if she was okay but then i realized how gorgeous she looked up close. Her eyes were closed but clenched tightly to match her cute scrunched up nose. Her face shapes the form of an oval with flushed, round cheeks that makes her look like a chipmunk but in an adorable way.

I feel like holding her even closer when her eyelids give way to a pair of captivating eyes. Her iris is a shade of blue and brown and green all mixed perfectly together. This moment is all ripped away from me as she pushes herself off of me in an angry fashion.

"Who are you?! Why would you do that?! I was so close to actually leaving?!"

I was so mesmerized by her appearance that it took a while for her words to sink in. After processing her words, i felt a burst of anger spark within me.

Why would she say something like that? How could she think like that?

Before i could talk some sense into her, she's gathering her stuff.

"If you try anything else on me, i have pepper spray." she says, turning to face me.

This really gets my attention.

Try anything on her? Wow.

Once she's actually looking, i give her an easy smile but she quickly narrows her eyes at me. She analyses me by slowly scanning my body as if i needed to fix myself, which i really do.

"Try anything else one you?" i ask, questioning her.

She raises her brows in a sassy way that i like. I bring my hands in a surrender position and exaggerate my statement by stepping back.

She looks about ready to go so i try to distract her by telling her my name.

"My names Parker by the way."

She hesitates, telling me that she's sadly not into me. Taunting me with a lovely smile, she mumbles a goodbye and gets into her car. All i can do is watch her Volvo leave and think,

I like this girl.
