I didn't like leaving Alina like that. I didn't notice her at all and I could tell she was upset. But everything had to be perfect for her birthday. I had to make sure, the hotel room was reserved and also had to make sure that the whole plan was going to go smoothly.

I drive up to the hotel and ring the bell and a guy about 18 walked up.

"Hello, welcome to the Marriott Hotel. How can I help you?", you could obviously tell he was bored.

"Hi, I am here to make sure that my reservation is good to go."

"Ok, what's your name?"

"Uh, Jake."

"Well, I meant your last name but looks like you are the only "Jake" that has had a reservation here. And, yes it is good to go. But I do have to warn you, if you do not use the room for three days after it is intended for use then you lose the room."

"Got it. I will probably only be using it for one night maybe a second. Just depends."

"Is the room just for yourself?"

I chuckled. "Haha. No it's for me and girlfriend. We got back together and I am trying to make sure she has a good birthday."

"Oh well, she is going to be comfortable here. I will just give you the keys now and you can just come in."

He hands me the keys and I start to walk out saying "thanks. Have a nice day."

Later in the day..................................

I already heard that Alina was at the pool. Well, I drove by but thank god she didn't see me. I decided not to text or call. I don't really know why, I just think that it will be a bigger surprise if she thought I didn't care. Although, I hated to do that, I needed to. I finally got home and decided to take a nap. I ended falling asleep pretty easily and didn't wake up till the next morning.
