Knowing.

A fan-fic/paranormal/apocalypse drama based on the 2009 film Knowing (But with the fantastic foursome instead of Nicolas Cage, set in Manchester instead of America and...well nothing like the 2009 film then. They just share coming of the ending of the world plot line and a name really).

Prologue.

I know things no other human being should, not trivial things like celebrity tittle-tattle or the ‘big secret’ that your best friend is already cheating on her boyfriend of three days with you Physics lecturer. No, these things are things that could drive any human being insane if they did know…just like they did to my mother. These things, these terrible, terrible things saw me holding the entire fate of 7 Billion other human beings in the palms of my very hands. But, if anybody were to announce them (without significant scientific proof) you’d be laughed at. Deemed insane. Locked away in a hope to protect society. That’s why nobody knew about my powers, nobody living that is. I couldn’t tell anybody though could I? I couldn’t just rock up and announce to my tutor I had predicted the coming of the apocalypse. No, he’d just laugh. But as soon as I moved out to further my education at the University of Manchester, and had started to seriously study into the science of Astronomy I slowly found myself accidently predicting the day the Earth would be struck by a deadly solar flare. Right down to the very day, hour, minuet and second it would happen. But it didn’t stop there. Oh no, some how something in my memory was jogged and I was taken back to a deep dark place, a place that my Grandmother had sent me to, to specifically make me forget. Suddenly I was tangling with paranormal powers that I had no way of understanding, well not with a little help from my friends…
