My best friend took off her shirt.

She's showing off her new pink polka-dotted bra.

She's staring into the mirror and twisting her body every which-way.

She starts to point out her flaws. She grabs at the sides of her stomach. There's a frown etched on her face.

She looks at me. She scans me up and down.

Lays her hand against her flat stomach and smiles.

She takes her phone and starts to take pictures of her body.

She meets new people.

Her friends are the same.

They're small and skinny.

They look at me in disgust.

As if I'm a giant.

I was one.

But why did I feel so invisible?
