"Tally?" Jennifer Mason glared at her husband. "You seriously want to put Tally in charge of this building?" Five foot three, the vivacious dark haired woman stood toe to toe with her six foot three husband. "Why would you do that?"

"Because Mason Towers needs a manager that knows what is what." Peter Mason faced his wife, though he felt  like cowering against her anger. "Come on Jen," he coaxed. "Tally has been around this building, quite literally, since she was born." he gripped her shoulders. "Its not fair to her, we have to give her a chance."

"But...." Jen stammered. "it's Tally."

Peter laughed, "Yes, Jennifer." he released her and moved back behind his desk. He leaned back putting his hands behind his head and his feet up on the desk. "Jen, she has been breed for this exact thing."

Jennifer sighed heavily and plopped herself down on his black leather sofa along the wall. She looked over at him as he lounged in his chair, after nearly forty years of marriage she still felt as much in love with him as she did the day they met. "If this is really what you want to do." she said. "Then OK, we'll give Tally the reins."

"It's not like she will be alone." Peter stated, "She'll have a full staff, of which SHE trained herself."

"I know, I know." Jennifer stood again, straightened her dark grey suit and moved towards the door. "Do you want to tell her?" she asked.

"I think i'll give you that honor, my dear." he met her at the door and pulled her into his arms. "I love you, and I think you'll feel good about this. If she can't handle it then we'll find someone else." he opened the door for her and kissed her cheek. "by the way, have you seen her lately?"

"Not since Janice left." his wife answered. "I've been too busy meeting with head hunters."

"Do her a favor." Peter said, as he walked her through his reception area to the elevators. They passed his receptionist, who smiled and nodded as she spoke on the phone, behind her desk the wall was covered with the company logo and name MASON TOWER. Peter smiled at the sign, his first building, he had built it, from the ground up. Some of the most power businessmen in Phoenixofficed in his building. He was determined that one of his four children would take over the business, even if it was his youngest and quietest. "Tally has been running things for more then a week." he said, as they stopped at the elevators. "See what has been going on before you talk to her. You'll be pleasantly surprised. I told her when Janice left to do what she felt needed to be done."

"Oh, god." Jennifer pressed the button for the elevator, the head quarters for Mason Tower, were onthe tenth floor, The management office on the first. Everything in between were business offices, rented out to all types of companies. The doors opened and she stepped inside.

"Oh, talk to some of the tenants as well." Peter said, as he pushed the button for the ninth floor. "See what they say about her."
