"Honey I'm hooommeee!" I heard a familiar voice call from the front door.
"Alex! God I missed you so much!" I screamed as I ran into the arms of my best friend. I hadn't seen him for 3 months since he had been busy touring in the states.
If you haven't caught on yet, I'm talking about Alex Gaskarth singer of All Time Low. I have known him pretty much my whole life. He know everything about me and vice versa. He has been there for me for all my rough times and i don't know how I will ever repay him for that.
"Well I would hope so! I have been gone for 3 fucking months! How have you been?" he asked watching me closely.
"I've been good I guess." I said as enthusiastically as possible.
"No for real Jesse, how have you been?" he asked concerned.
"Well we all have those days you know..." I said, the happy mood sinking slowly.
Great, way to ruin the moment. A tiny voice in my head said. The tiny voice that never seems to go away. The tiny voice that made me feel like the failure that I am.
"Well, I'm here now and that means we can party all night long!" Alex said cheerfully trying to lighten the mood.
"And by party you mean..?" I asked knowing where this was going.
"Watch all our favorite movies and plan to stay up all night but end up crashing at 1:30!" he said so happily he sounded like he could be on one of those shows for little kids. You know the ones I'm talking about, the ones where the person is like " can you see the apple? you can?! great job!" and the apple is right in the middle of the screen.
" I am going to go unpack while you get all your overnight stuff. Come over in an hour. See you soon!' Alex said as he kissed my cheek and left my house.
sometimes I wish he wouldn't do that kind of stuff and mess with my head. I wish he would mean it like a boyfriend would. I wish he would see me the same way I see him the most perfect and beautiful person in the world.
But I guess that is all a daydream away.
