"Hey Ricky."

"Ah-"

"Ehh-"

For some reason, I couldn't find any words to say. The love of my life is standing right before me trying to begin a conversation and a can't even be literate with him.

Misty nudges me in my side with her elbow, with extra strength I didn't know she had.

"Ouch!" A sharp pain went straight to my waist and I most definitely made the ugliest facial expression possible.

"She says hi and apologizes for the extreme lame behavior that she has right now." Misty answers for me while giving me a glare that says stop screwing it up and show more cleavage!

Desline chuckles at the exchange between us. "Don't worry about it. It's cute."

I blushed in humiliation and continuously glanced between him and the ground. I couldn't help but admire the small dimple on his right cheek. I wish i could just cuddle up and get cozy inside of it as weird as it sounds. His jawline is very taut and strong. I've noticed this several times before but each time I look at it it just keeps getting sharper and sharper. I could even see a little stubble growing right along his chin.

"But I just wanted to let you know about the get together at my house this afternoon to get ready for the pep rally on Friday. We will be painting flags, and posters, and making t-shirts. Refreshments will be provided so you won't leave on an empty stomach." He gave me a reassuring grin to show he was really being serious.

Again I continued my mode of silence along with a dumbfounded look of admiration for the beautiful creature standing before me. And like the patterned routine that seemed to be occurring Misty answered for me.

"What time does it start?" she questioned.

"Probably right around 8:00."

"Okay. We'll be there." she grinned heavily at me as if she were saying this is your chance!

"Cool! We'll I'll see you guys then. See ya later Ricky." He waved goodbye with his signature smile.

I flushed with embarrassment as the realization of what just happened came to me.

"Misty I looked like a complete goon out there! Did you see? I couldn't even say one word to him. Thank god nobody else overheard that, they'd probably think I'm some sort of freak or something."

"Oh hush, and stop being so hard on yourself. It wasn't that bad anyways it was just a short light conversation nothing too biggie."

"No way am I going tonight. The entire junior class will be there. You know I don't do well around a lot of people."

"Oh no ma'am. You are going whether you like it or not, and don't even think about it 'cause I'm not taking no for an answer. Cheer up. I'm going to stay right by your side okay? We're in this together."

"But-"

"Now let's find something to wear shall we?"
