Mayas POV

It was a normal day. I woke up at 4:30 cook breakfast for my dad, take a shower then get dressed then head to school.

"MAYA!! Get your ass in here!!" My father yelled

"Yes dad, what's wrong?"

"You tell me you stupid ass bitch!! Do you know you are the reason why your mother left you and left me to take care of your worthless ass!"
He's drunk again.
I was on the verge of tears because of his words. My mother left me and my father when I was 10. Ever since then my father has abused me. No one knows. Everyone at school thinks I'm all cool and rebellious. My father doesn't know he abuses me, he only does it when he is drunk which is all the time. I wear lots of makeup to cover the bruises on my face.
I soon realize I have to pick up Riley. I run out the front door leaving my father yelling at me to get my ass back their but just keep running to Riley's.

At school                                              

"Okay class today I will be assigning your partners for your English project that is due in three days." Said Mrs.Whiteman

Riley and Farkle were partners and Lucas and I are partners.

Lucas came running up to me and asked "Hey Hart, want to come to my house after school to work on the project."
The project was to get to know your partner and write a paragraph about them.
"Sure." I replied.

After School

I was in Lucas's room working on the project when he asked the question I was hoping he wouldn't. "What is it like at home."
My eyes started to tear up. He noticed and asked me what's wrong and I just burst out in tears. What he did next took me by surprise, he hugged me. He kept on telling me that it's okay and everything will be alright. It felt like hours but I soon stopped crying. Lucas asked me "What's wrong. Please let me help you and explain to me why you are crying."

I explained to Lucas that my dad hits me and physically and mentally abuses me and I just want to end my life.
I saw a tear slip down his face and he just hugged me and I started sobbing again.
"We have to tell the police. But first we have to tell the Matthews and the Minkus's.

At the Matthews house

Lucas and I get to Riley's house and we see Farkles family is there and I tell everybody to sit down in the living room. I start to cry and explain to them what my dad does to me and then they all start crying and I just run out the door with Lucas chasing after me. I slow down and he grabs my arm and spins me around so I'm facing him. I tell him "If I tell the police I will have nowhere to live and I am going to have to go to an orphanage!"
"Riley's parents will adopt you, you already are in their family."

What he said calms me down and we start heading to the police station.

At the police station

I report my father and the police go to arrest him. I start crying again and Lucas just holds me in his arms then he takes his two hands and puts them on my cheeks and raises my head up and he starts to lean in and I do to. WE KISS!! I felt fireworks. It was magical.

1 month later

My father is in jail and I'm living with the Matthews. Lucas and I have been dating for about a month now and Riley and Farkle just started dating when Farkle confessed he liked Riley more when they found out me and Lucas were dating.

I guess everything turned out okay after all.
