Chapter 3

My boss walked in she didn't look like herself today. She was always beautiful in any form and had the most beautiful voice ever made me calm in a good way. There was me and Tina and 12 other workers all seated at this long table that looked like it can seat more than 20 people. A tall guy walked in with a smile he was bald but looked as if he was about 29, I was kinda looking to hard when he looked at me and smiled. I quickly looked away blushing and Tina was looking at me kinda shocked and laughing at me. The Boss started talking "May I have everyone's attention please? I called this meeting because I have a very important announcement to make and I wanted you all here because you all are like family to me." She took a long pause and there were tears in her eyes I got up and walked over to the table and got her some tissue and handed it to her. I stood beside her and the tall sexy guy who walked in with her. "Well everyone I am leaving for good you can come by to visit me as much as you want I'll just be home resting until the good Lord takes me. I have Cancer..... The doctor said I only got a couple of months to live." Everyone started crying it was just that type of moment when no one said anything we were sitting there I couldn't help myself I got on my knees in front of her and hugged her tight she hugged me back I could feel her tears dropping on my arms. 20 minutes later we were put back together the tall guy came back in his eyes were a little red my boss got up and hugged him. "This is my son Alex he will be running the company and taking over everything I have some requests I want to stay put as I am gone." Alexis took a seat beside his mom and handed her her reading glasses then our eyes met and I just couldn't help but smile at him and he returned it. "First of all, you all will receive a bonus check of $5,000. Kayla, you are the new assistant manager as of today. "Thank you so much you won't regret it !" I told her so happy. "Well that's it you all are dismissed." Everyone walked out I caught up to Alexis and tapped him on his arm and he turned around to face me. "Yes ?" He said looking into my eyes I was shy as I don't know what. "Well, I just wanted to ask you for some days off so I can visit my family I haven't seen them in  5 years. Before he could talk some girl came and jumped on him kissing him. "OMGG! BABY! I BEEN MISSING YOU SO MUCH." She was pretty and looked like a size 2 and had beautiful long hair. After watching them kiss and talk all lovely and shit. "Excuse me is that a yes or no....?" So sorry Alexis said looking nervous. " You're an assistant manager you do not have to come to me about your days you get to take off and pick your hours and make your vacation when you want." Okay, thanks I said but before I could walk away his gf yelled something. "Name is Lisa! Nice meeting you miss. rude. Turning around I smiled and walked back over to them "Nice to meet you lisa!... Happy ?" I said while walking off getting ready to leave with Tina. "FAT BITCH !" Lisa yelled at me and I heard Alexis tell her to stop being childish and drag her into his office. "Yoo I was ready to beat her ass all you had to do was say the word best friend." Tina said while her hands were shaking." I started laughing it's okay boo cause next time she comes off at me I will beat her ass silly. Me and Tina went to her house to pack her clothes for the trip back home then went back to my place to get some rest. Can't wait to see what tomorrow holds for me back home.

My phone went off someone was calling me it was an unknown number I picked up the phone instead of saying hey I said "And this is ?" He laughed a little "Now is that a way to answer the phone ?" Looking foolish I told him sorry and for some reason his voice turned me on. "It's okay I was calling to apologize for my girlfriend's rude behavior." Laughing into the phone "That skinny lollipop bitch don't have anything on me. " He got quiet on the phone for a minute "That wasn't very nice but funny I guess well I'll see you in 2 weeks right ?" Shaking my head yes as if he could see me "Um yeah 2 long weeks." I looked over to see Tina lying sleep beside me on my bed I talked to Alexis some more we hung up and I fell asleep.
