When we walk in the hallway I turn around. "Let me see your schedule please." I say with a smile.
He hands it to me and I give it a look over. It looks like we have every class together. Just great I think to myself. "It turns out we have every class together." I say and he just looks at me.
"Is there something on my face or what ?" I ask a little irritated.
"No its just you kind of look familiar." He says with a smile. His smile makes me want to faint and I quickly avert my eyes.
"Oh ok."
"Can we stop by the office real quick? I forgot to ask for my locker and my lock." He ask.
"Sure let's go. Sandra a word please?" I tell her.
She nods "What's up?" She ask with a quizzical look on her face. "Do you mind going and getting it I'll get to know him while you're gone." I tell her and she just winks at me and nods .
"Sure." She replies.
She walks away and I turn to him with a smile."Sandra went to go and get it for you if that's okay ?"
"Yeah that's fine." He replies
We walk a little and as we round the corner my heart sinks. I see Ashley and my boyfriend Ben in front of the lockers lip locking.
I freeze and Jake gives me a look of concern.
"BEN?!?! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME ??." I scream out in pain and in anger.
As soon as he heard me they jump apart. He has a shocked look on his face while Ashley smirks. "Babe it didn't mean anything I swear it just happened." He pleads.
I just look at him in disgust while tears stream down my face. "Didn't mean anything huh? Just like our relationship for 5 months huh ? I guess not then, but hey don't let me stop you. Keep going don't stop on my account." I spit out in anger.
He looks guilty while he stares at the floor. While this is happening Ashley walks up to Jake and puts her hand on his bicep. "Hey there" she purrs and I cringe in disgust."I haven't seen you around are you new?" She ask.
He shakes her off in disgust. "Wow just wow after what I just seen I think you should keeps your claws off I don't know how many germs there could be in those fake nails of yours." He says and she laughs and goes back to him.
"I know you don't mean that, my name is Ashley what's yours cutie?" She ask him.
"None of your got dang business that's what it is." He shakes her off again and walks up to me.
"Let's go Naomi let's go find Sandra." He tells me. I let out a sob and walk away with him.
As soon as we round the corner Sandra sees us and runs forward."Oh my gosh Naomi what's wrong !" She ask frantically.
"I-it's Ben.... He he was with Ashley and they were kissing.." I cut off and cry into Jakes shoulder. He pats my head and whispers in my ear.
"Its okay he's not worth it. He just played you, you can always get revenge or how about I do it for you?" He ask and I laugh.
"Its fine I can't believe I actually thought he liked me I mean who wouldn't cheat on me for Ashely? She's 'perfect'." I say and he only grunts in response.
"That girl ain't nothing compared to you two." He says and I hear Sandra chuckle.
"Why thank you kind sir." She says with a mock bow and I can't help but laugh.
"Ok oh and I'm sorry about your shirt." I say apologetically.
"Its okay at least I can say it was for a good cause." He chuckles and shakes his head.
"Ok that's enough tears shall we get this show on the road." I hold my arm out for Sandra and she takes it while Jake follows next to us with an amused smile.
-------Jakes POV --------
My blood is simmering on the inside. Why would anybody hurt her like that? I ask myself. "Remind me to get hand sanitizer." I tell the girls and I get a laugh in response.
"Now why would you need that?" They ask in unison.
"Well because I could catch a disease." I say. But that's a lie vampires don't get sick. I just wanted to cheer her up. And I guess it worked.
"I'll remember that." Sandra says and I chuckle. They show me around to all my classes and I'm glad I have them all with her. I will get revenge for her. On both Ben and Ashley. My locker is three doors down from hers. maybe this year will end with a bang and I will finally find my soulmate. I have been looking for her for so long. So when Naomi was crying on my shoulder and I felt my blood tingle I got excited. I can read her mind and see that she is still sad from what happened and it gets me angry.
As the day goes on I find out that Naomi is very smart. Almost as smart as I am, hence the word almost. I kid I kid, but I think I'm starting to like her. Its not like I would say that out loud or anything but I think I want to play the field a little before I try her. Yes I know I'm a player but I can't help it, I need someone to help me take my mind off of the guilt of my parents.
When school is over I walk to the parking lot and find my car. It turns out that black Ferrari was Naomi's. I guess her family must be rich. Ha I think everyone at this school is rich. I drive to my uncles house with the windows open while I jam to my music. Three days grace comes on and I sing along to the lyrics.
When I pull into my driveway I look around at my surroundings and see a lot of other big houses. And I also see the same black Ferrari across the street. Well isn't that nice I think to myself. Maybe I'll just go and introduce myself later on in the week.
I walk inside and I was greeted with the maid Helen. She had a silver platter in her hands with a glass of blood. "What kind of animal is it Helen?" I ask politely.
"Its deer, if you don't like it I can get you something else what would you prefer?" She ask with a smile.
"No this is fine its my favorite." I reply with another smile.
Now I know what your thinking. Yeah I only drink animal blood but that's only when I'm not really hungry. But when I am hungry I have to have a human to quench my thirst. I go to my room and do my homework. Who gives someone homework on their first day? Well I guess this school is a little strict. Nothing I can't change with my ways I think to myself. Chuckling I walk out to the balcony for some fresh air and instantly become relaxed.
I have to hunt down Ben so that I can get my revenge. What should I do? Hmm this is a hard one. Maybe I could trash his car and leave it upside down in his driveway? Sounds like a good plan if do say so myself.
I search through all of the minds on this street and see that he lives on the end of my street so tonight my plan will commence.
Now what should I do with Ashley? Hmm I have a great idea. I can go out with her and then break her heart. Even if I will be disgusted by her. I have to do what's right and get back at her. So when she comes up to me tomorrow and I know she will I guess I can flirt with her just enough to win her over. 'Let's see how this goes' I smirk evilly.
