Hikari started stuttering in complete shock. "Chil....what....does....what??" I sighed, unable to watch him like this anymore.
"It means they're our real parents." His jaw dropped. "They...were here all along..." I nodded and watched him start stuttering again.
"Hikari, isn't this what we wanted? To find out real parents?" He stared at me before smiling softly. "Your right. It's what we wanted this whole time."
"Does that mean you've been searching for us?" Ellie put a hand over her mouth as I nodded. "We wanted to find you so we wouldn't have to stay with them. They don't care about us so I don't see why it would matter if we disappeared."
Hikari nodded in agreement. "We wanted to find you as soon as possible but sometimes it just seemed impossible. We thought you gave us up because you didn't want us." Ellie covered her mouth.
"That wasn't it. I was just too young to take care of you two. When I had Shiro, I didn't have a job and we lost a lot of money. I couldn't support you and eventually you had to be put up for adoption. We didn't want to let you two go but the child protection services made us." Hikari smiled.
"It's alright now. We forgive you." Ellie and Kazuto smiled. "We're gonna be moving down to the part of town where your adoptive parents are but that's because Kazuto just got a job offer down there that he took."
I'll still get to be with Mizuki. I smiled and nodded. "That's okay because there's someone there who I absolutely have to see no matter what." Ellie covered her mouth again asher eyes went huge. "Shiro, do you possibly have a girlfriend?"
"Not quite..."
"Oh he has one alright. But it's a guy." My face flushed over. "Hikari!"
"Oh my gosh! I absolutely have to meet him!" I looked back over at my mom who was brimming over the top with happiness. "M-mom?"
"She likes guys who like other guys." Kazuto explained. She walked over to me and gave me a big hug. "If he's nice i'll allow him to date you and be part of our family." I gave a strained smile as she squeezed me tightly.
"I haven't contacted him at all these past few days." I frowned. "I can't now though cause my phone is dead."
"If you need a charger you could have asked." Kazuto smiled as he went to get a charger. "It's alright. The friend i'm staying with has one. If it's alright, I 'd like to stay with him until you move down there."
"Okay. We'll be down in about a week or two." I nodded as Hikari and I left. "It feels impossible. That we found them now even though they've been this close to us all this time."
"At least we found them. Most kids never find their birth parents. We were just lucky."
"Yeah, your right." I smiled as we walked down the street together. As soon as we reached our part of town I recognized everything instantly. "Hikari. Can I go off on my own for a bit? I want to find Mizuki."
"Alright. Go get him." My cheeks turned a light shade of pink. "Stop teasing me." I walked away from Hikari and went straight to where Mizuki worked. Peeking in the shop, I saw Mizuki stocking some shelves.
I walked in the store and went over to Mizuki. "Mizuki." I called out softly. He turned around slightly, before running over and giving me a bone crushing hug. "Where have you been!? I've been so worried since my calls haven't been going through."
"Ah, my phone died and I didn't have a charger. Sorry." I snuggled a bit closer to him as his warmth engulfed me. "I missed you so much." I smiled into his chest.
"I found my birth parents." He let go of me and looked at me seriously. "What? You found them?" I nodded as I said, "They were in the next town over. When I got lost a lady saved me and I found out that she was my mom."
"That's great!" Mizuki picked me up and spun me around. "Also, she wants to meet you. Hikari told her that we we're dating."
Mizuki's eyes widened. "H..huh! Ummm..." Mizuki started to stutter and scratched his head, an unreadable expression on his face.
"Mizuki? What's wrong?" He looked at me. "I don't know if I'll be able to. I get really nervous and I'm afraid I'll mess up. I don't think I can do this." He looked down in disappointment.
I put a hand on his shoulder and smiled. "It's alright. You'll be just fine. Besides I'll be there so you won't have to worry."
Mizuki shook his head. "Can we wait a bit before that? I want to meet your parents when it reaches our five month anniversary. I don't know if I could do it right now."
"Okay. I can wait a little longer. But don't forget that you have to meet them. It may be two months away but that's enough time to settle all the crazy stuff that's happening right now."
Mizuki laughed, nodding his head just slightly. He leaned down and pecked me on the cheek. "I really do love you Shiro." Putting my arms around him, I snuggled my face into his chest. "I love you to."
"I have to go now. Hikari is probably waiting for me to come home. I'll see you later okay." He patted my head. "Okay. Be safe."
I walked out of the store and started down the street. I turned down a few streets before I heard my name get called. "Shiro!" A girls voice rang out in the midst of a silence.
I turned around and stared. "Noir? What do you want?" She casted her eyes toward the ground.
"Are you really not coming home anymore?" She was an innocent girl and it was hard to lie to someone as sweet as her.
"I'm not." That one sentence hung lonely in the air. Her head dropped down a bit. Her body shaked lightly. "I have to be with my real parents. Not someone who acts like an imposter and the pretends to be my family and be nice to me."
I walked up to her and placed a hand on her head. "If you want to see me, just message me okay. You'll always be my little sister and nothing can change that."
She stared at me for a bit before she wiped her tears and nodded. "I'll miss you." I gave her a hug and stood up straight. "I'll miss you too." I turned and started walking away.
"Make sure you come to visit! It's a promise, okay!" She yelled and I put a hand up, signaling that I promised.
After getting to Nazu's house, I went straight to my room shutting the door. Sighing, I plopped on my bed. "Today has been an unbelievable day."
"Not as unbelievable as mine." My eyes widened and I quickly got up and turned towards the mysterious voice. I could just barley see a figure in the shadows of my room.
"Who the hell are you?" I growled lowly.
